Do wewe think a Christian like me should listen to rock music?

I am currently addicted to the band called "My Chemical Romance". There, when I was addicted so much to them, I think sometimes like this, "Does God wants me to listen to these songs au not?" I was also doubting if MCR is a part of illuminati 'cause of their lyrics from the songs.

Little kwa little, I'm getting wild on this band. But, I realize that they're the reason why I can pray to other people. And they are inspiration for me.

I really want to hear your majibu so please! I hope wewe answer it. God bless. <3

So wewe struggle with this too? :( I heard my first AC/DC song on a road trip with my relatives, and I've taken a liking to a few of their songs. Some of their songs are worse than others, but if it's a song I feel I shouldn't listen to, I remember how, before Lucifer was kicked out of Heaven, God put him in charge of the muziki played in Heaven. Since Satan knows so much about muziki and what it can do to your mind, I try to picture Satan himself trying to tempt me with loving a song that would hurt my relationship with God, and I'm less likely to give in. I'm definitely not saying all rock muziki is bad, but yeah, we do all have to be careful. Hope this helped! :D

There's nothing wrong with that at all :) Unless of course it's satanic rock muziki then no that's not okay. There are some Christian rock bands, just listen to the lyrics, if they say anything bad au say something against God's word then that is not good. wewe listen to whatever wewe want to though what's important is that wewe upendo God, nothing else should matter :)

What is it about rock muziki (or any music, really) that makes wewe think your god would disapprove of wewe listening to it? What do wewe think would happen if, for whatever bizarre reason He would disapprove, and wewe listened to it anyway?

like it wouldn't be christian approved if it's like something about hate au worship of satan blaphemy basically things christians don't like au things against the religion's teachings

The problem with that is that muziki is interpreted differently kwa every single person that hears it. There can be songs that are, seemingly for Christian values to one person, but another person will see it entirely differently. I'm a Pagan. I listen to Christian music/ I do this because I can find elements of my own gods, religion, and practices in it. It is being listened to in a context that goes against Christianity's teachings. So is the supposedly "Christian" muziki "approved" au not? The same can be alisema of every song ever made ever. One person can listen to a song and hear hate and fear, and another can listen to it and be inspired to follow Christ.

Well its simple, does that muziki promote God au help others understand the wonders of God, if not technically wewe shouldn't be listening to it. In the beginning all muziki that Christians au Hebrews sung was to praise the lord, and that was what their instruments were used for. I personally don't listen to rock muziki because of the messages in it; suicide, depression, rebellion I don't think are things God wants us to think about let alone sing.

But on that note, its not good for wewe but its no different than alot of things people practice that isn't good for them, its not just rock muziki soley
