I WANT TO WRITE!

I wrote one verse of one song, and how it happened was I made up a tune and then came up with some lyrics to go with it just so I wouldn't forget the tune. Don't suppose that helps any? Didn't think so.

Anyway, if wewe want to write, write. "Don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear, just sing... sing a song." (quote from a song kwa the Carpenters) The words will come to you, and if wewe have any passion for what you're writing, it'll come through. That's what I do.

Well personally... I never intented to write anything but when the inspiration came I couldn't help but pick up that pen and start filling pages and pages. (ps. I don't write lyrics but fanfictions)...Maybe wewe should just wait to be inspired. I deem people's stories,lyrics,poems etc are way better when they were written cause of inspiration and not because someone had to write something. If wewe say you've been trying for years but still wewe can't maybe that's not the right path of art for you. If wewe can't write lyrics, wewe could start with stories which I find easier! wewe just have to find that something in your life that inspires you!

well I've been working at that for a while too. I finally have a good song now and I'm gunna tell ya how it happened. I thought and tried and failed many times. then I tried just poetry and I did some from many different styles until I became very good. then I started focusing zaidi on things like iambic pentameter (which is present in many songs) and things like that. I worked on making each line have a specific number of sylables and made line one in my first stanza have the same number as line one in all the other stanzas. I did the same thing with every line. I worked on my vocabulary and tried to make the words interesting. then I tried ballads, and, with practice and constructive critisism, I finally succeeded.

I have over 50 lyrics.I started uandishi them when a friend told me very big lies and I was really hurt.You first have to figure out what wewe want to write about.

Start with an image wewe would like to write a song about (it can be anything, really). Then try to describe the picture in words, au just write whatever comes to mind.
