CSI NY Making karatasi la kupamba ukuta

I'm not exactly sure what the procedure is for making and posting wallpaper images, but as much as I love CSI:NY, having to view the same thirty photos over and over again is kind of..well...boring. So, I want to take images from the CSI:NY gallery on here (photos, icon, fan art sections) and make my own wallpaper. Is that OK or are there copyright issues that would forbid my posting them when I'm done? Mostly they will be collage-type wallpaper, but I was curious what everyone has to say on that.

P.S. FAQ didn't mention anything about copyright issues when it comes to contributing items to a spot.

I'm going to make the wallpapers regardless of what the responses are on the topic, but I was wondering whether I would be allowed to post them, or if I should just keep them to myself.

I think if you use unedited stuff like screencaps or photos, there is no problem.
But if you use icons or fanarts that other people have made, you should probably ask them if it's ok if you use their work.
