It was a mwaka after the glorious wedding of Eugene and Rapunzel tied the knot. The whole Kingdom of Corona celebrated the couple's first anniversary. There was muziki which filled up hearts with glee, dancing that adorned the very streets of the Kingdom and a feast that filled up the stomachs of all the villagers! When night fell, the Kingdom party was still rocking, the only thing missing was the actual couple.
Rapunzel and Eugene were on the very mashua they were in on Rapunzel's 18th birthday.
"I upendo this," Eugene alisema to Rapunzel "I upendo us, I upendo you." he added.
Rapunzel gazed into his eyes, his warm, passionate eyes. She knew that she rightfully chose the right one to be with for the rest of her life. Eugene lifted up Rapunzel's chin with his hands so his lips could meet with Rapunzel's lips. The two shared a long, intense passionate kiss, surrounded kwa hundreds of beautiful glowing lanterns. The night ended. Eugene whispered softly "I upendo you." in Rapunzel's ear and wrapped his arms around Rapunzel's waist.
A few months later
Rapunzel woke up at 5am feeling sick. She went into the bathroom and threw up. After, she cleaned herself up and kwa 7am she went to see her mother.
"Mother, may I ask wewe something?" Rapunzel asked.
"Of course, my darling. What is it?" The Queen replied.
"Well, over the past month, I've been feeling really sick, I throw up nearly every morning. I've been living a healthy lifestyle but I just don't know what's wrong with me." Rapunzel alisema with a worried look. Her mother was stunned for five seconds, her eyes went big. "Do wewe know what this means, sweetheart?" she said.
"No." Rapunzel replied.
"You're with child!" the Queen said. Rapunzel stayed motionless then suddenly fell to her knees, hyperventilating. "Oh my goodness mother, what am I going to do? Me and Eugene weren't going to have children right now-" Rapunzel alisema in a panic.
"No my child! This is a wonderful thing!" the Queen said.
"I'm so scared, Mother." Rapunzel replied.
"Don't be! Dearest, why would wewe be scared?" The Queen asked her daughter. Rapunzel replied "I don't know how to take care of a child! What if the same thing that happened to me happened to the baby?!" Rapunzel burst into tears. Her mother knelt down and gave her daughter a warm comforting embrace, "Don't worry my darling, me your father and Eugene will help you." She wiped away Rapunzel's tears and kissed her forehead.
"How am I going to tell him and father?" Rapunzel asked.
"We'll tell them today, I'll help you. We can't tell them later because your bump is going to get bigger." replied the mother.
Later in the day, the Queen gathered Eugene and the King in the balcony where they re-united with Rapunzel.
"What is it?" The King asked.
"Rapunzel has something to say." alisema the Queen gently pushing Rapunzel in front of her.
"Well?" alisema Eugene.
"Father, Eugene. I am with child." Rapunzel said.
Everyone was silent.
"Congratulations!" The King shouted joyfully.
Eugene ran up to Rapunzel, picked her up and spun her in the air. "This is great!" he alisema kissing Rapunzel's small bump. "We're going to be parents!" Rapunzel alisema with laughter and glee. The family all joined in a big embrace.
Eight months later
Rapunzel was painting the walls of the new nursery for the baby. She painted beautiful birdies, flowers, lanterns, a Corona sun and even some paintings of the Snugly duckling duck, Pascal and Maximus. Rapunzel put her trusty paintbrush down and looked at the big picture. She rubbed her big bump and alisema "This is going to be your nursery and bedroom when wewe come out. You're going to upendo it so much.Just thinking of the memories we're going to have blows me away. Me and daddy upendo wewe so much and I know grandma and granddad are-" suddenly pain struck her womb.
"Arrrrrgghh!" she screamed in agony.
"What's wrong?" Eugene alisema as he quickly ran into the room.
"IT'S TIME!!!" Rapunzel screamed "Argggh!"
"Time for what- oh, oh I get it, I'll get your mother!" Eugene said. He dashed out of the room and went to fetch the Queen and the King.
"Rapunzel alisema it's time!" Eugene alisema panting heavily.
"Time for what?" The King asked. The Queen slapped his arm.
"Oh, I see." he said. The King, Queen and Eugene ran to the room. Quickly, the Queen grabbed a maid to help her with her daughter.
"Get the princess in the bathtub! It eases the pain!" Eugene helped put her in the bathtub (her dress is still on BTW).
"Mother..Father.. Please go outside, for me, I don't want wewe to see me in pain, please, for.. me." Rapunzel alisema still screaming in pain.
The King and Queen went out of the room for Rapunzel.
"Do wewe think she'll be alright?" The Queen asked.
"Of course she will, for now, we just have to wait." alisema the King holding his wife's hand tightly.
"What do wewe want me to do?" asked Eugene.
"For now, just comfort her," The maid said.
"Okay your highness, wewe wanna push it out, okay? On the count of three: one, two, three!"
"AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!" Rapunzel squeezed her stomach, she never endured so much physical pain in her life.
"It's alright, baby, I'm here." Eugene whispered with a tear.
"PUSH, PUSH, PUSH!!!" the maid shouted.
"ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHH!!!" Rapunzel screamed in indescribable agony.
From outside the room, the screams were so loud but suddenly, it stopped and was replaced with the crying of a newborn baby.
The maid dried and dressed up Rapunzel and placed her in her bed.
"Here is your beautiful... baby girl." the maid alisema smiling.
Rapunzel kissed her baby girl on the forehead, "You're so beautiful," Rapunzel whispered; she looked at Eugene "She's perfect!". Eugene took the baby in his arms "You're so beautiful, like your mother!" he said. Rapunzel grinned.
"Your majesties, wewe may come in." alisema the maid as she opened the door to reveal The King and Queen's new granddaughter. Rapunzel's mother and father had the same look the first time they came face to face with Rapunzel after 18 years.
"Oh my goodness," alisema the Queen, shedding a tear of joy "may I hold her?". Eugene handed the baby ever so carefully to his mother-in-law. "She looks like wewe when wewe were born- except for the fact that her hair is shorter and brown rather than long, blonde and magical. Nevertheless, she is gorgeous!".
"I am so proud of you!" the King alisema hugging his daughter and then holding his new granddaughter in his arms. "So, what's her name?" he asked.
"I chose Coralie Sunshine. Coralie to represent Corona and Sunshine because of the flag and simply because she fills our lives with sunshine and look out the window, it's sunny!" Rapunzel explained.
"She is our new dream." Eugene said. Rapunzel corrected him and alisema "She is our LIVING dream."
