I had a hard time deciding how I should put the title. So, in case my title looks messed up, this is basically my orodha of favourite foreign Disney Princess imba voices. I chose the best foreign dubbing for each Princess IMO and put them in a list. Also, as Merida doesn't sing she is not included. This is only my opinion, so of course everyone will have different placings. But please don't be rude about my choices. Enjoy! :)
10: 1959 French Aurora (Irène Valois)
Before wewe read any further on my list, I have to tell wewe I have a thing for French voices. So don't be surprised if this orodha ends up to be 98% French. Anyways, I upendo how dreamy Aurora sounds in this version, and it portrays her dreamy yet operatic style. But it was a bit too soft for Aurora. I know Aurora isn't supposed to sound loud au forceful, but compared to Mary Costa's original version this Aurora sounds very weak.
9: 2002 French Mulan (Marie Galey)
I upendo Marie, she's the best French singer, ever! But her attempt in Mulan ended down here because her voice sounds too young for Mulan, and a bit screamy on the high notes. I do upendo her passion in her voice, but Marie could have done a better job voicing Mulan.
8: 2009 Manadrin Tiana (蕭蔓萱(I don't know what her English name is))
The first non-French dubbing appears! I listened to multiple "Almost There's" until I found the perfect Tiana. Anika Noni Rose is of course, still the best Tiana but this Mandarin version is the sekunde best. I upendo how her voice sounds very smooth and jazzy, like how Tiana should sound like. But is it just me au does her voice seem really high sometimes? I don't know, so poor Tiana and her Mandarin voice ends up down here.
7: 2010 French Rapunzel (Maeva Méline)
Maeva did a nice job voicing Rapunzel. Yes, she did a nice job. But I can't say anything zaidi than "nice." Maeva's imba was enjoyable, and fitted Rapunzel's bubbly personality well. But it was way too high for a girl who was supposed to be 18. Way too high. But I guess it suited Rapunzel's inner child, and maybe they were trying to capture that childish quality. The Quebec version was also really good, and Rapunzel sounded much older. I was originally going to put the Canadian French version here, since her voice was less irritating and childish. But the Quebec version doesn't sound nearly as passionate as Maeva. Yet Maeva still remains 7th with her "Raiponce."
6: 2001 French Snow White (Valérie Siclay)
Snow White sounds so sweet in French! Considering that the 2001 version was already their 3rd attempt at dubbing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, they should have made careful choices for Snow White. And they did! Valérie Siclay did a better job at voicing Snow White than the two other versions IMO. But Snow White's imba voice is very old-fashioned. Even though they dubbed it in the 2000's, they still had to make it sound like the original. Thus Snow White's placing at 6th.
5: 1991 French Belle (Bénédicte Lécroart)
Belle's English imba is number one on my English imba voices list, but her French voice doesn't get nearly as high. Ironic, since Belle herself, is, French. Belle will definitely sound like Bénédicte if she were real. But, I would prefer it if Belle sounded like Paige O'Hara speaking French. Bénédicte was a good Belle, and everything, but I have one small problem with her voice. During the song "Belle," when Belle was imba to the kondoo at the fountain, I keep on thinking Bénédicte sounded a little pitched. A small problem, perhaps, but my juu 4, in my opinion, have flawless voices. So, unfortunately Bénédicte stays in the edge of my juu four.
4: 1995 French Pocahontas (Laura Mayne)
Hm, maybe I should rename my makala to "disneygirl7's Favourite French DP imba Voices." I'm sorry! I upendo French dubbings of movies, they usually seem better au just as good as the original. To be honest, Pocahontas sounds identical in every language, except that her voice might be slightly higher, lower au less powerful. I almost decided to put the Mandarin Pocahontas here, but after comparing these two versions I still think the French Pocahontas has zaidi passion and power in her voice. Laura's imba was enjoyable and suited Pocahontas well. I have no problems with her voice. Absolutely none. But why is she not higher if she had no problems? Aaah, that is because this French dubbing is just as good as Judy Kuhn's original. Just as good. There! That's the reason she isn't higher! Laura's version is just as good. Not better. wewe see, IMHO the juu 3 all had better voices in their dubbings than their original voice actress' voice.
3: 1950 Dutch cinderella (Joke de Kruijf)
Another non-French dubbing surprisingly appears. I listened to the French cinderella and went: Ew. I listened to the Dutch cinderella and went: <3. Her voice was much, much better than Ilene Wood's version. Ilene Wood's voice annoys me, believe it au not. I was able to listen to Joke de Kruijf's voice in cinderella over and over. But not Ilene Wood's. I don't have much zaidi else to say. Just I love, love, love, upendo the Dutch Cindy, and it is one of the sweetest voices ever.
2: 1992 French jimmy, hunitumia (Karine Costa)
I know that in the awali Princesses I alisema I hated it when their voices are really high. But for Jasmine, I prefer her voice as high as possible. Karine does this well. I've listened to "Ce Rêve Bleu" (A Whole New World) millions of times, so much I can memorize the entire song. In fact, I don't sing A Whole New World anymore. I sing Ce Rêve Bleu. Karine is an excellent choice for Jasmine, I enjoy her singing. Everytime jimmy, hunitumia is about to sing her first line in Ce Rêve Bleu, I always get so excited. Why she isn't higher, I do not know. I guess she just doesn't seem like anything compared to my number one.
1: 1998 French Ariel (Marie Galey)
wewe take one look at my top, wewe shake your head. Typical spot for Ariel, right? No. If I were to make a orodha of my favourite English DP imba voices, the first placement wewe would see is Ariel. That's because she would have been last. I'm sorry, Jodi is a good singer and everything, but Ariel's original imba sounds lifeless compared to all the other Disney Princesses. I can sing "Part of Your World + Reprises" in French like I can sing A Whole New World in French. Marie is the perfect Ariel. Unlike most people, I detest Claire Guyot's version. Claire sounded like she had a cold while she was recording. Marie sounds so sweet and passionate, I just had to give her the highest place possible.
Thanks for reading! :)
