Today is December 21st, The Winter Solstice; which according to Jennifer lee is Elsa's birthday.
Because I'm such a dedicated shabiki of the movie and the character, I have decided to write an makala about the fan-arts people have made about her.
wewe see, back in October of 2014, when I became a shabiki of Elsa, one of the things that interested me the most about her were all of the dedicated and beautiful fan-arts made about her. A good chunk of the time, they're featuring both Elsa and Anna. Other times, they feature the entire cast. However, this time, I'll be including fan-arts that focuses mainly on Elsa.
I will include ones that feature other characters like Anna au Olaf, but that's about it when it comes to featuring other characters.
I will also not include any screen-shots au official art kwa the creators, as emotionally powerful and beautiful as they are; since this is an makala dedicated to mashabiki of Elsa only.
One zaidi thing to note, is that unlike most Fanpopers I don't know how to insert picha into my articles, only kwa the "Add Images" button that works only for juu and bottom. So, I will only leave a link of the fan-arts instead. If any of wewe know how to do it, please leave it in the maoni section.
EDIT: One of the commenters actually explained how to insert picha into my article, so I was finally able to do it. I replaced the viungo with the actual fan-arts, so wewe can enjoy them.
With all that out if the way, let's begin the list:
1."please make it stop..." kwa DragonXborne.
In this fan-art, Elsa is emotionally broken and distraught kwa the hate maoni and criticisms of other people. Calling her a "Freak", a "Disappointment", "Ugly" and many things that many of us who suffered the same fate had to go through.
This is one of my all-time inayopendelewa fan-arts of Elsa, mainly because how much I relate to it. My biggest fear that I'll be nothing but a disappointment to others, and that I'm a monster who will hurt them if I let out my emotions.
It's so amazing how the artist could pour his/her very soul into this drawing; we can almost FEEL her pain, her sorrow, her FEAR! I can relate; the feeling was so intense, wewe totally gave his/her every painful breath in each line. It feels sooo right, doesn't it? Just to let go of that frustration in the form of lines and colors.
2."The Storm Inside" kwa alicexx
Another piece of work where the artist pour its soul into it!
One of the things I upendo about this sanaa ya shabiki is that Elsa it's basically a recreation of a screenshot, where Elsa is turning and pondering when Anna sings about how they could fix the Winter together. wewe can feel her emotions as she's thinking about what do do.
I also upendo the brush-work on this! it gives it a very stylized and unique look that, in my opinion, fits the movie and Elsa's character perfectly.
3."Elsa" kwa clc1997
If wewe remember my analysis of "Let It Go" and Elsa's facial expressions, than wewe remember that I used this sanaa ya shabiki as the juu Image. The reason I used it, is because I think it fits the somber and beautiful feeling of the song, while making it look very stylized and pretty.
I also upendo how the artist did the eyes and dress; it looks like the movie.
The artwork captures the personality of Elsa at the time of the song, and it does it perfectly. The details in the snowflakes which are like real snowflakes and not the same is amazing while the pencil sketch in the juu saying “Let it go” is a nice touch as it is just in the background; probably Elsa being the one imba it. A huge plus this is her coronation dress rather than her snow dress she creates over it, plus the infamous crown is also present.
4.[Frozen] Elsa kwa setsuna1111.
This sanaa ya shabiki may look generic, it's actually the very first sanaa ya shabiki of Elsa, I ever saw. I'm serious!
It holds nostalgic value to me, and that's why I'm putting on the list.
I remember that I used to play the downloaded picha I had of her while playing a song that fits her character in the background, like it was a tribute muziki video.
While I hold nostalgic value to it, it also looks very beautiful. I think that's the best way to describe it: simple, but effective.
5."Elsa" kwa Kinopia
This is probably one of the most depressing ones.
The reason why the emotions are so effective on this is because of the symbolism. Let me explain:
Elsa is in her coronation outfit, probably taking place during the coronation day. Her entire room is covered in sharp, icy spikes, while she's drawing on her window a picture of her pushing away Anna with alisema spikes. This may paint her as selfish, but her facial feature tells us that she longs for her sister, and she never wanted their relationship to die like this. The spikes in the sanaa ya shabiki represent her protectors, as well as a way to keep others away from her. She fears that if she comes into contact with anyone, they will get hurt, so the spikes are there to scare and keep others away from her. Another function of the spikes is to protect Elsa herself. While Elsa cares zaidi for others than her herself, she does fear that others might also hurt her. Another thing to note, is that on Elsa's Wikia page, it is stated that her powers may be sentient and are trying to protect Elsa from harm. It actually reminds me a lot of Gaara from Naruto.
The last thing to note is that the artwork is fantastic, it looks zaidi cartoony, but still invokes the same emotion.
6."The Snow Queen" kwa Tokio92.
This sanaa ya shabiki is done is the same style as Britney Lee's artwork while showcasing Elsa's growth as a character.
Like most people, I upendo Britney Lee's artwork! The lack of any outlines and the colorful designs are astounding to look at.
One of the reasons why "A sister zaidi like me" is my inayopendelewa Frozen book is because of Britney Lee's artwork. Not only do I think it fits the movie and the characters perfectly, but it shows of so much emotion and elegance that I can't help but upendo it!
Many artists who loved the movie tried to imitate her art, and so far, this is the best one.
There's another one with Anna, but orodha will focus mainly on Elsa.
I upendo all the expressions Elsa has in this image. It shows how she grew up and how much she developed. From being innocent and fun-loving, to cold and reserved, and then free and joyful. Combined with Britney Lee's style, and wewe have one of the best artworks of Elsa I've ever seen.
7."This Is The Real Me" kwa samanthadoodles
I upendo the artwork of this fan-art. It's done in black and white, with a very stylized and gorgeous way. It fits the somber and tragic side of Elsa. The only color in this sanaa ya shabiki is aliyopewa to her lips, which I think works very well.
In this fan-art, past Elsa is sitting down while her cape is extending and forming Snow Queen Elsa's cape while she's playing with her powers.
The cape, obviously represents the journey she had to go through in order to earn acceptance and freedom. Seeing her going from a depressed and anxious woman who feared her powers, to a woman who is proud of her powers, is nothing short of amazing, and the sanaa ya shabiki shows that.
8."Elsa's Coronation [Frozen]" kwa DarikaArt
Elsa has a lot of interesting traits, and a good chunk of those are her: elegance, maturity, authority, sense responsibility and intelligence. This sanaa ya shabiki showcases all of those traits in one image.
The stern look on her face says it all. She doesn't have to say anything, and yet invokes such a sense on authority and power, that it's amazing. (Which is how Elsa should be written for the sequel.)
9."Frozen Feet" kwa samanthadoodles.
Anna is getting ready to marry Kristoff, but suddenly, she can't; she's too nervous.
Elsa, after what happened, she goes to Anna's door, and begs her sister to open the door.
The best thing about the sanaa ya shabiki is that it's basically a contrast to "Do wewe Wanna Build a Snowman?". In the song, because Elsa didn't come to their parents' funeral, Anna comes to her door, begging Elsa to open the door, even asking her to build a snowman with her, since that was the only hope left in Anna to convince Elsa to come out and comfort her - but Elsa keeps the door locked.
Here, because Anna doesn't have the power onyesha up at her weeding, Elsa comes to her door, and begs Anna to open the door. Much like Anna, she asks her to build a snowman with her, but unlike Elsa, Anna opens the door and hugs Elsa, saying "I do".
What I upendo about it is that Anna could've easily done the same thing Elsa did, but instead, she opens the door and embraces her sister. It clearly shows that Anna learned from the events of the first movie, and she didn't commit the same thing that Elsa did.
10."Do wewe want to know a secret" kwa patronustrip
Anna is being bullied kwa a bunch of boys, calling her ugly - when suddenly, a blast of ice comes out of nowhere and freezes them. It was Elsa, as she stood up for Anna. She then asks Anna if she wants to a secret. She whispers into Anna's ear, and says "You're beautiful." Surprised kwa the revelation, she hugs Elsa as a sign of gratitude, and tells Elsa that she's beautiful, too.
I cannot begin to tell wewe ADORABLE this is! I always imagined that, before the accident, they always stood up for each other, and this fan-arts shows a good possibility. The artwork is cute, and the last line is just heartwarming.
11."Little Anna and Elsa Big Sis" kwa jungie14295
This is also a very adorable fan-art. It shows Elsa as an adult and Anna being 5 years old.
In my opinion, this image shows how Elsa probably maoni Anna; as her little sister that she needs to protect and be a secondary mother figure to.
This sanaa ya shabiki actually reminds me a lot of Lilo and Nani's relationship from Lilo and Stitch. A big sister who Lost her parents in an accident, has to take care of her trouble-making little sister.
I also upendo the way Elsa's drawn, which leads me to...
12."The Snow Queen" kwa jungie14295
As I was saying, I upendo the way Elsa's drawn. Not just because of the anime-ish look the artist gave her, but because it makes her look zaidi elegant, and dare I say...beautiful. No, really, her new chin makes her look zaidi realistic and shows off her natural beauty and elegance.
13."Elsa Evolution" kwa Berelince
Remember what I alisema about Elsa's development being showcased in art? Well, here's another one.
While I upendo the one that tried to imitate Britney Lee's artwork, I actually prefer this one a little better. It's also one of the first Elsa sanaa ya shabiki I saw, so it also holds a nostalgic value to me.
It also has a wide arrange of emotions: happiness, confusion, fear, sorrow, loss and acceptance.
14."Frozen Alchemist" kwa ComickerGirl
For those of wewe unaware, my inayopendelewa anime of all time is Fullmetal Alchemist (2003), for being a dark philosophical story that reflects the harshness of life in a deep and emotionally engaging way that makes us relate to the characters.
When I first became a shabiki of Frozen, a series I drew comparisons to (Before Steven Universe.) was Fullmetal Alchemist. They're both about two siblings who upendo each other to death and would sacrifice anything for the other, despite the loss of their parents and the harshness of life they have to deal with. I also think Elsa shares a lot of similarities between Edward Elric:
-both have long, blonde and braided hairs;
- upendo their younger sibling to death and would sacrifice anything for them;
-have matured a lot in their youth;
- know how to have fun;
-are very intelligent;
-and both of them can hold their own.
Though, to be fair, Elsa's gentleness and sensitivity fits Alphonse's character, more - and Anna's rash and energetic behaviour fits Edwards character, more.
Either way, it's amazing to have an artist who acknowledged the similarities between the two, and combined them into one picture.
15."A friend in the storm" kwa DangerMask.
If wewe recall, I put this sanaa ya shabiki as the juu Image in an old makala of mine, where I defended Elsa against the people who called her selfish.
I used this image because it shows that Elsa isn't a monster, but instead, a little girl Lost in a storm of confusion and fear.
This is a wonderful sidebar story to what may have been happening on North Mountain during Elsa's sudden, self-imposed and unwanted isolation. Olaf is actually an extension of herself and the childlike innocence she once had. In her time of need and deep despair, terrified that she's turning into a monster, the snowman of her youth is there to gently remind Elsa that underneath that seemingly icy exterior is a scared little girl with a warm, caring, and gentle heart.
The sketch lines and expressions powerfully capture the sadness, loneliness and need for comfort. A reminder of what was lost, and later is happily regained. The emotionally powerful reconcilation between Elsa and Anna at the end of the story, and Elsa rejoicing in the happiness her powers can bring to others in her kingdom.
16."Elsa Frozen" kwa Jeffach.
Look, didn't put this picture on the orodha because "Lol Bewbs", but because I think it's an absolutely gorgeous rendering of Elsa...who's half-naked.
While I personally find Elsa to be very attractive, I don't see Elsa as a sex object; but I still put it here because, like I said, it's beautifully rendered. It's quite possibly the best real-life rendering of Elsa I've ever seen.
This is just beautiful, but I don't want to see Elsa that risque. Frozen isn't about that. I know it's art and expression, but I don't want to think of sex when I think of Frozen. It's a wonderful movie and makes me feel young again, and has that intangible quality that makes everyone in the room happy, not horny.
But I still upendo this fan-art, nonetheless. (Not in THAT way, wewe perverts!)
17."Frozen x Pokemon: Elsa and Articuno" kwa Sa-Dui
As someone who's also a big shabiki of Pokemon, I must say that this sanaa ya shabiki is most exceptional!
This is again, one the first ones I ever came across.
All I have to say is that they both fit perfect together!
The icy-blue is wonderful. Color and shading are really lovely and are perfect for the atmosphere!
18."Couples Cafe" kwa Morloth88.
Elsa wants to go to a couples cafe, but Aurora says she can't because she's single. In order to get into the cafe, she brings someone with her. However, she doesn't bring a boyfriend with her to the cafe, but Olaf!
While Elsa is enjoying her coffee, Olaf boasts about how much of great person Elsa is, while Aurora is pissed in the background, and Snow White complaints to her prince about "Why can't he be zaidi like Olaf!" .
What I upendo about this makala is that Elsa basically found a loophole to get into the cafe. Instead of bringing some bila mpangilio guy, she brings Olaf, who's technically her son. Another thing I upendo about it, is that Elsa probably did it to get back at Aurora, seeing how the childish snowman has zaidi personality than any of their boyfriends.
19."Elsa Momma" kwa Yamino
marshmallow wants to give back Elsa the crown she threw away and he found - but Elsa refuses and wants marshmallow to keep it, saying that it looks better on him, and then makes a dress for Marshmallow. marshmallow was so happy about his new dress, that he hugs Elsa, almost crushing her, saying: "Now I'm pretty like Momma!"
I upendo this sanaa ya shabiki not just because I think it's both funny and adorable, but because I think the artist represented Elsa's personality how it supposed to be.
When marshmallow wants to give back the crown, Elsa refuses, not just because it looks better on Marshmallow, but because the crown is a part of the identity she abandoned, and she doesn't want to go back to it. So, instead she gives it to one of her sons as a gift.
20."Frozen Mommy" kwa NamyGaga
Okay, last Elsa being a mother fan-art; I promise.
I reason why I upendo this sanaa ya shabiki so much isn't because it's so incredibly adorable, but because it's also quite authentic.
While I consider Olaf, marshmallow and the Snowgies to be her sons, seeing Elsa pregnant invokes a weird feeling inside of me. (Not in a horny way, of course!)
Now, this sanaa ya shabiki is in Spanish, but there is an English translation in the description.
In the first panel, Elsa says this : "- If you're a girl, Eliza ... If you're a boy, Evan..."
In the sekunde panel, Elsa says this: "-Feeling your little kicks makes me very happy..."
And in the third and last panel, Elsa says this: "-Hi my little Eliza..."
The artist of this sanaa ya shabiki had this to say about it:
"Recently, just last September 16, Carmen Sarahí, Latin American voice of Elsa, announced that she is pregnant, it is her first pregnancy! :D
It is as if Elsa were alike, so I made a drawing Carmen gift for her first pregnancy, where Elsa is put in place while pregnant and having her first baby, as I chose, It is a girl who called Eliza Elsa :)"
21."Still beating" kwa ASAMESHII
This one is also rather depressing. Elsa is listening to Anna's heartbeat to check if she's alive au not - but Anna is calming Elsa down, saying that : "It's still beating."
One of my problems with Frozen, was the ending; where Elsa, after witnessing her own sister dying because of her, she just got over it in a matter of seconds, after finding out that "The answer is love!"
A commenter on one of my inayopendelewa makala alisema this about Elsa's depression and anxiety:
"At the end of the movie she seems to overcome her depression without any internal change. She says the answer is love, but loving what? Anna and the kingdom? I'm pretty sure she loves them already au she wouldn't have ran away to save them. Herself? We never see her actually learn to upendo herself. One moment she's overcome with grief for killing Anna and the inayofuata she's just throwing her powers around everywhere. Why is she all of a sudden so comfortable with using her powers? Is she not still afraid of accidentally hurting someone? I would be, I mean my sister literally just DIED.
The main problem is, overcoming depression is a long and rocky process, because wewe aren't changing anything external. wewe literally have to change how wewe think about yourself, believe that wewe are worth something, and we don't really get to choose what to believe. We either do au we don't, and that internal change is not something that can be accomplished in literally a minute. So that's why, even though Frozen was a very ambitious and beautiful movie, I don't really think it accomplished what it set out to do, portray depression and loneliness."
While it's nice to see Elsa growing and becoming a better person; her overcoming her depression and anxiety was WAY to quick and rushed. Heck! I could barely recognize her in Frozen Fever and Northern Lights!
This image shows what actually should've happened. Yes, I know Disney probably wouldn't allow a scene like this in one of their sinema - but if they could onyesha dark stuff before, that doesn't mean they still can't.
If Disney is trying to be progressive, they should portray depression and anxiety properly.
To be honest, with Anna being Elsa's emotional anchor, it actually reminds me a lot of Guts from Berserk and how Casca is his emotional anchor; because if he loses her, his humanity shall forfeit. I think it's the same with Elsa.
22."Queen Elsa Arendelle" kwa KYOooTERCERA.
Speaking of anxiety and depression; in this fan-art, grown-up Elsa is comforting her younger self, saying that "She's not a monster."
I always loved the idea of Elsa meeting her past self and comfort her, so she could know about what will happen, and thus, try to overcome her fear. Personally, I think Elsa would definitely do something like that if she had the power to do so.
23."Do wewe want to build a snowman" kwa Kittykatpaws
This one also has Elsa confronting her younger-self; only this time, she has Olaf with her.
What's also different is that unlike the awali one, she doesn't hug her younger-self, but instead shows what her powers could do; while extending her arm in a position that says :"Take my hand" - as a sign of wanting to help her.
What I also upendo about this sanaa ya shabiki is the coloring. Young Elsa is sitting in the dark, crying; while future Elsa and Olaf are in the light, and are joyful. Which works and fits very well.
24. "Elsa. Mothers dress." kwa ReicheL12
This sanaa ya shabiki may seem generic, but what makes it unique is that it has Elsa wearing her mother's dress.
One of the most noticeable traits about Elsa, Anna and their mother is that they look very alike.
I think what happened was that Anna noticed how similar Elsa looked to their mother and wanted Elsa to wear her dress. Elsa was reluctant to wear it, but Anna convinced her anyway, and so she put on the dress, which could probably explain the expression on her face. It looks like she's smug, but she's actually very shy about wearing the dress, but feels kind of proud doing so.
25."The Sky is Awake" kwa Art-Zealot.
This is also one of the first ones.
What I upendo about this sanaa ya shabiki is that it's basically a recreation of the scene where Anna asks Elsa to play with her, saying that "The Sky's awake"; only this time, when they're full-grown adults.
Anna doesn't jump on Elsa to get her to play with her, but instead just asks her.
I really upendo the expressions here. Anna looks excited to finally play with Elsa, again, like they did when they were younger; and Elsa looks happy that Anna asks her to play. Also, she's got a bit of a smug look on her, which indicates that she was expecting Anna to come and ask her.
The coloring on this is phenomenal. The sleepy-warm and deep, lush blues...I upendo it!
26."can't wewe see it's TRUE LOVE" kwa aquanut
This is one of the funniest ones. Anna introduces Kristoff to Elsa, but Elsa refuses to bless their marriage, despite the fact that Anna knew Kristoff for 2 days.
What I upendo how strict and straight-forward Elsa is. This is honesty the mature Elsa I want to see. Someone who tries to protect Anna from danger, even if ti means being strict towards her.
I upendo the expressions; especially Olaf and Krsitoff's...They look hilarious!
The art-style also kind of reminds me of Adventure Time.
27."I Got You" kwa samanthadoodles
In this fan-art, Elsa meets with baby Anna for the first time, but Anna is scared of Elsa and starts to cry. Elsa is disappointed at first, but she has an idea to stop Anna from crying. She decides to play Picka-Boo with her while also using a bit of her magic to cheer her up, and it works. Baby Anna stops crying and starts laughing, with Elsa being very proud and satisfied.
I upendo the concept of this fan-art. We didn't see how Elsa and Anna became best Marafiki with each other, so this is a good possibility of what could've
happened.
28."Of course I want to build a snowman" kwa h-Robun
Much like the one that showed off Elsa's development, this one is done to imitate Britney Lee's art work. Only this time, it shows off Elsa building a snowman behind her door, representing her desire to be with Anna again, but can't. Her expression tells it all.
Also, I don't know about you, but I upendo Elsa's dress here. It's both elegant and "retro" at the same time. Elsa is mostly depicted with the same clothes and dresses, so it's nice to see something new.
29."Christmas in Arendelle" kwa Art-Zealot.
This is another funny one.
krisimasi has come to Arendelle, and Anna sees a package in a chair with a letter that says: "To Anna from Elsa". Anna wants to open it, but Elsa freezes it before she can take a look at it, saying that she shouldn't peek into it until the time comes.
The art-syle is very cute and cartonny, and the expressions are really funny! I especially upendo Anna's face in the last panel.
What I also upendo about it is that Elsa is being serious about not letting Anna open it, but also funny kwa surprising her. And Anna is no exception. Her wanting to p[eek at her gift and then get frustrated kwa Elsa's bossiness is very in character.
30."Elsa's Eyeglasses Comic" kwa mizzizabellaSMS
This one is very relatable to me.
When I first saw in March of 2015, I thought it was adorable, but now it's a very relatable fan-art/comic.
wewe see, because of my prolonged exposure to computer screens, my eyes have become warn out and I needed glasses. My problem was that I could see fine close-up, but everything at a long distance was blurry and illegible. Which hurt a lot when I could barely understand what was written on the blackboard.
When I told my friend, Dan what was wrong with me, he alisema that I shouldn't worry, since he wore glasses for years now, and he turned out fine.
After I went to check my eyes, the doctor recommended me the type of glasses I need, and on a Wednesday evening, my father arrived with the glasses, and I could finally see crystal clearly.
When I started wearing them, I felt kind of uncomfortable about them. I didn't take them off, since I knew that I need them for my eyes to recover and to see clearly. But after a while, I've become very fond of my glasses. Hell! My grandfather alisema that I look like an intelligent gentleman with them.
So this, fan-art/comic is very relatable to me, since I know what it's like to wear eyeglasses.
31."Let's do the Magic" kwa mizzizabellaSMS
This is another adorable one.
Elsa, finds a little girl who also have ice magic like her, and tries to onyesha her that her magic is something to be proud of.
This is something I would expect Elsa to do, happily and eagerly. Elsa has a great deal of empathy for others, and she'd very easily put herself into this little girl's shoes, see her problems, and do all she could to help her.
There's just one problem I have this this: I thought she connected with Anna, isn't that enough? Does it always have to be another person with ice powers like her? But yeah, Elsa is not only one with those kind of powers so it would make sense for them to be together at a time like this. Especially when that young girl is trying to look for someone who can help her all the way.
32."And I'll Rise Like The Break Of Dawn" kwa Sakudrew
This is also one of the first ones.
The image of Elsa walking of her palace with her new dress was recreated in so many ways kwa many fan-artist, and it is considered Elsa's epitome of happiness. So seeing a sanaa ya shabiki that conveys the same feeling and also has nostalgic value to me, I can't help but declare is as one of my favorites.
33."Sith Elsa" kwa pushfighter
nyota Wars is my sekunde inayopendelewa franchise of all time, so of course it had to be on the list.
For those of wewe who don't know, there is A LOT of Frozen x nyota Wars sanaa ya shabiki on DeviantArt. This one just happens to be my favorite.
Elsa looks amazing in her Sith grown. (It actually reminds me a lot of the Sith grown that Asajj Ventress wore during the Clone Wars.) It really feels like how Elsa's dress would like if she joined The Dark Side. Furthermore, she looks very intimidating, with her Sith lightning, red lightsaber and angry expression. Like she's going to strike wewe down if wewe make a mistake au disobey her.
Another nice but small touch are her black nails and visible breath. The Dark Side, while powerful, is also very dangerous because it's also kind of like a drug; corrupting the user, both inside and out, which also includes dark nails. And the visible breath really shows how cold both her personality and powers are.
34."Elsa's frustration."
I don't know the artist for this one, but I will include it anyway, not just because it's funny, but also because it's very personal.
In this fan-art, after Elsa is informed that Hans wants the throne, she starts ranting to everyone about what they want: Hans wants the throne; Anna wants to thaw the kingdom and Kristoff wants a new sled. But nobody came for her because they missed her, and Olaf is the only one who raises his hand.
The biggest problem I had with the original Frozen was the lack of attention they gave to Elsa. Yes, Elsa did become the most maarufu character, but it makes me even zaidi irritated because such a wonderful character got so little attention.
What also bothered me is that her personality felt pointless. What do I mean kwa that? It's true that Elsa did a lot of wrong things: such as shutting Anna out; freezing the kingdom; freezing Anna's heart; etc. But those resulted from a childhood trauma that affected her actions and mind. However, they could've made her as unsympathetic as possible, and nothing would've changed in terms of story. Her personality doesn't contradict her actions; so why should I care about her character if nothing would've changed in terms of plot if she was evil?
And what's worse is that Olaf is the only one who raises his hand; the comic relief character! Almost as if they're treating Elsa's entire character as a sick joke.
I'm putting this sanaa ya shabiki on the orodha because it exemplifies my biggest problem with Frozen as a whole.
35."A dream au Real" kwa A-KA
This is one of the most depressing ones.
The eighteen mwaka old Elsa walks towards her mirror and looks at her reflection without saying a word. She places her hand on the mirror and it starts to freeze. Elsa, is becomes depressed, and takes a squat kwa the mirror, with her hand sliding down the mirror. Then, the reflection grabs her hand, revealing that it was Anna, and that it was a dream. Elsa wakes up and finds Anna right in front of her, holding her hand. Elsa says she doesn't want to wake up from this beautiful dream - but Anna tells Elsa that's not a dream, and she's real - but is she really...?
Not only do I think this sanaa ya shabiki is both depressing and heartwarming, but also kind of has The inception effect. Remember, the title of the sanaa ya shabiki is "A dream au Real", as in if Elsa is still dreaming au not. The panel doesn't onyesha either of them, but a dialog balloon kwa Anna, which could indicate that Elsa is still dreaming and what she sees is actually an illusion.
36."I like Warm Hugs" kwa ContraSprite
If wewe remember my very first makala (Which turned 2 years old.), then wewe recall that I put this sanaa ya shabiki at the end, with the caption saying: "I wish I was in Olaf's place"
The reason I put this in my first makala was because that makala was supposed to be an explanation why I loved Elsa so much and why I wished she was real, so I used an image where she's hugging Olaf, saying that I want to be hugged kwa her, too.
About the actual fan-art, I think it's very adorable.
If wewe payed attention to the first movie, then wewe must have noticed that Olaf never got a singly hug throughout the entire movie. The only time, he's ever hugged was when he was an inanimate snowman. Funny how when he was inanimate he was hugged, but when he became sentient, nobody hugged him. Which is why I think this is a very heartwarming fan-art.
37."Elsa and Elphaba" kwa Kc-Eazyworld
For some of wewe who don't know, Elsa's character was inspired kwa Elphaba from Wicked. As a result, there have been many fan-arts made of the two, usually just to compare the two and see how similar they are. (Also helped kwa the fact that both of them are played kwa Idina Menzel.) The one I chose is my favorite. Sure, it may seem generic and simple, with Elsa and Elphaba just leaning on each other's back while doing things in character, but I think that's what makes it so good.
While there have been many characters that Elsa is shares similarities with, Elphaba is the one whom she shares the most similarities. This sanaa ya shabiki showcases that, with them literally mirroring each other, but done in a way that shows off their personalities.
38."Elsa and Iduna" kwa B1Ank
This is also one of the most depressing ones.
The first panel shows 8 mwaka old Elsa being cuddled kwa her mother. In the sekunde panel, Elsa has become afraid of what her powers can do, while her mother is looking at her in distraught. In the third panel, 12 mwaka old Elsa puts on the gloves and leaves her mother behind. In the fourth panel, 18 mwaka old Elsa is devastated kwa what she's done, but it's too late to turn back now. In the fifth panel, Elsa has become of age, but also has become a lifeless husk of what she used to be. In the sixth panel, Snow Queen Elsa starts to turn back and look at her mother. The seventh panel has Elsa extending her hand to her mother - but the last panel only shows her mother's gravestone.
Not only is this one of the most depressing ones, but it's also one of the most meaningful.
Elsa, after years of pushing her loved ones away, she finally realizes her mistake and tries to relive those wonderful times with them, until she realizes it's far too late and can never see them, again.
I guess this is suppose to be a metaphor for appreciating the people around you, who upendo and care for you, because in a matter of sekunde they're gone forever.
I think this sanaa ya shabiki shows that beautifully. Each important event that happened in her life is put in one panel, as if they happened in just a few seconds, but in reality they were years. inaonyesha of how fast time flies by, even if wewe don't notice it.
39."Elsa and Baymax" kwa Yamino
If wewe remember an old makala I wrote about Elsa's powers being a representation of anxiety and depression, then wewe recall that I placed this one at the bottom.
The reason I used this one was because it fit with what the makala was about; plus, it's just depressing. Baymax is programmed to scale people from 1-10 for physical pain, not really for psychological pain - but if he was, then her pain would be a big 10.
40."Help me say goodbye" kwa Kittykatpaws
Elsa is looking at an old picture where her younger self is being hugged kwa her parents. Tears start to fall on then picture, as Elsa is becoming zaidi and zaidi depressed. The last panel shows her hugging the picture, while being hugged herself kwa ice statues of her dead parents.
I've seen a lot of depressing fan-arts of Elsa, and I listed off a good chunk of them, but this has got to be THE most depression one, of them all.
This requires some backstory:
I first found this sanaa ya shabiki on December afternoon back in my Winter brake of 2014. It was actually the first image I found on Pinterest. While I was looking at it, I was listening to one of the saddest songs I've ever heard: "Flying Without Wings" kwa Westlife.
Looking at this sanaa ya shabiki while listening to that song made me so sad that I was crying for a whole hour. However, I wasn't just crying because of how depressing it was, but because it was incredibly unfair. Back then, I didn't have any friends. Every other kid would look down upon me, misjudge me, call me a freak, make fun of my emotions, au just ignore me. I couldn't relate to anyone. Then when I saw Elsa, a woman whom I can relate to and is literally everything I wanted in a woman, I was devastated that she wasn't real. I was surrounded kwa a bunch of "monsters", for a lack of a better word, and the woman whom I could relate to and is the woman of my dreams (I'm sorry if I sound creepy.), but she's not real. wewe can imagine how devastated I was.
I wanted to hug her, make her feel better, tell her that I know what she went through and that I understand her pain - but I couldn't :'(.
Let's talk about something else. Much like the first sanaa ya shabiki I showed you, the artist was able to breathe life into this fan-art. The coloring, the shadows, the expressions; they make everything feels so much zaidi impactful and emotional.
The lyrics are from the song "Wishing wewe were somehow here again" from Phantom of the Opera, and they fit perfectly.
Because of how much of an emotional impact this sanaa ya shabiki had on me, I am proud to declare it as my inayopendelewa sanaa ya shabiki of Elsa, and a god way to finish my this article.
I'm sorry, if this makala was VERY long, but because it's Elsa's birthday, I wanted to dedicate this makala to onyesha how much I care, upendo and respect this character - and I think it was worth it.
I'm also sorry if I couldn't onyesha wewe the actual images, but like I said, I don't know how.
Either way, I hope wewe enjoyed my article, and Happy Holidays!
As always, Smell ya later!
-both have long, blonde and braided hairs;
- upendo their younger sibling to death and would sacrifice anything for them;
-have matured a lot in their youth;
- know how to have fun;
-are very intelligent;
