9. Naveen
8. Shang
7. Phillip
6. John Smith
5. ??????

I expect Aladdin will be voted out, and then Beast, and then the Prince, and it will be down to Eric vs. Flynn! I won't care who of those two wins, they're both great :)

To me it seems like he never stops to consider what Jasmine may want. I definitely don't think he's anti-feminist at heart, but through his self-absorption he does tend to forget that she wants to make her own choices.

At least so far this countdown is going better than the Princess one. And I've given my reasons in past polls.

He is a douchebag and thinks Jasmine is a weak little "princess"

He knows Jasmine is funny and smart but automatically assumes she's materialistic and superficial. Though to be fair that may have more to do with Jasmine being royalty than a woman

BelleAnastasia picked Eric:
Same reasons as before. I still don't see why people consider Eric and Prince so feminist. being sweet and nice does not equal being feminist.

Eric or Flynn should win because they completely lack any sexism in any of their actions, motivations and decisions. They work as a team with their girls, treating them like equals. Rapunzel saves Flynn twice prior to him saving her, Ariel saves Eric twice prior to him saving her. Their relationships are about equality.

Beast on the other hand shoves his male superiority multiple times in Belle's face, being both physically stronger and generally more powerful than her, using said superiority to hold her hostage. And yes, it was not because she was a girl, but because she offered herself as exchanged for her father, however, later on, all of Beast's development is based on the fact that she is beautiful and he's not therefore he wants and tries to desperately measure up to her level by learning more about mannerism which doesn't strike me as much of a personality development. His journey of reformation was set in motion by Belle's looks, much like Smith's.

Not to mention Beast's 'she's so beautiful, and I'm....well look at me!' aka 'she could never love me because she's pretty and i'm ugly' although, is it SEXISM to judge someone on their looks, or, just being shallow?
And BelleAnastasia, why do you consider Flynn any more feminist friendly than Eric or Prince
Prince is probably neutral, I'm not sure why he's higher up than Charming, though.

Yes, so far I really like the way that this countdown is going.

Aside from believing that his "smolder" is the ultimative weapon, Flynn doesn't really show any anti-feminist tendencies...quite the opposite, he and Rapunzel work together like a team. Plus, aside from Shang, he is the only Disney Prince, for whom the look of the princess doesn't really matter. Yes, he cracks the joke about having a thing for brunettes, but he basically doesn't really care how Rapunzel looks like. He didn't fall in love with her because she was beautiful, he did because he liked her character, the same way Rapunzel prefered "Eugene" over "Flynn". It's the main reason why those two are my favourite pairing, for them it's not about good looks at all.
To the Beast's credit: He might feel unsure because Belle is so beautiful and he isn't and he might see Belle mostly as a way to break the spell at the beginning, but again, it's not really her beauty which leads to him developing feelings for her, but the way she acts after the wolf attack. Though he starts out as "beauty is important", he is the one prince of whom I'm sure that he learned his lesson in the very end, thouroughly.
I guess, when Aladdin is gone, I'll go for the prince....because then he is the only one left who basically only went for the beauty of his love, and not for her mind.

I'm not sure Prince went for beauty, he seemed to love her singing--- and when did Eric care about Ariel's beauty?? He does stare at her, but so fdoes Flynn to Rapunzel in the very beginning of meeting her. I think Flynn and Eric should be the top 2, I'm just wondering why BA finds Eric/Prince less feminist than Flynn.

Swanpride picked Aladin:
Perhaps because Flynn is satisfied with at Rapunzel's side while she is the princess and later on the queen. Naturally none of the other princes really has the opportunity (well, aside from Aladdin, perhaps, but it sounds like whoever marries Jasmine will become Sultan), but it makes a difference.
Plus, Eric might not in love with Ariel's look, but he is very much in love with her voice...which is slightly better, I guess, but still a far cry from being in love with her mind and her character. He eventually comes around to silent Ariel too (mind you, after having seen her in the pink dress and realizing that she is beautiful), but would he have taken her to town at all if she hadn't looked beautiful enough and without Grimsby's prompting?

maryksand picked Beast:
Beast learns his lesson solely due to Belle's effort and the only reason why he decides to initially change and try to maintain a more plausible and proper behaviour is because he wants to measure up to Belle's OUTER beauty rather than inner beauty. Which is not the case with Flynn, for instance, because while he obviously finds Rapunzel good looking, it isn't what gets him drawn to her romantically nor is it the wake up call or driving force for him to reconsider his life choices. The Prince barely has any personality whatsoever to conclude whether he is a feminist or not, but all we know is that by the end he obtains a traditional knight in shining armor role when he takes Snow White to his Kindom where she is going to be under his rule rather than it being the other way round as in Rapunzel/Flynn case.
