Jane I hear so many people complain about how modern Disney movies ridicule the older ones, but Enchanted is the only one that really rubs me the wrong way with this. That whole thing about Giselle never having been angry before. Just ugh. Her personality is supposed to be based on the Classic DPs, as if they were never angry. Snow gets pretty annoyed with the dwarves when their standards of cleanliness don't meet her discerning eye, Cindy gets extremely pissed at Lucifer, her stepfamily, and even a clock, and Aurora is definitely livid with her aunts when they reveal she's a princess and has to go back to her parents. It's like the writers didn't even watch the source material. I just feel like Giselle is such a disrespectful parody of the original DPs, plus I don't like the idea of a primarily live-action character being a part of the lineup.
