All locations in the movie are now in the North Cascades National Park, Glacier Wilderness Park, and Chelan Wilderness Area. The location is even more beautiful now, unchanged from the movie. There has been no development in the area since 1947. The location is very remote, and protected. Wizards (Frank Morgan's), cabin still in Weaver Point. Stock barn was at Moore Point, they offer free camping at both locations now. High Bridge, Lucerne, Stehikin, Holden Village, and other locations are also unchanged, and all have free camping, beautiful lodging are also available at Stehekin, and Holden. All locations are in the general area of Stehekin, a remote town of 80 people. It is located at the north end of Lake Chelan. Surrounded by mountains and glaciers, and forest. This area is accessible only by passenger ferry, or plane. Miss Taylor is a legend there. The locals were so charmed by her, and the ferry captain always love to tell about her presence in the area.
A shuttle service bus goes to High Bridge, and Weaver Point trailhead, both have spectacular locations from the movie. The short but famous Agnes Gorge hike is also located at High Bridge. Rangers will give you a ride back from Weaver Point on request. In season, the Lady of the Lake will stop at Moore's Point on request; it also stops at Lucerne(Holden), and Stehekin year round.
