the books are much better than the show in my opinion,but i really like the show , i think you get a different experience from both. but i think if you liked the show you should definatley read the books

I've loved the books for years, and I consider the series to be "based on" the books rather than being the same thing. I like different things and characters on the show than I do in the books. Both are great, though!

I don't really like the show. I hate it when people change perfectly good books into crap. If you're gonna do it give it justice, otherwise all you succeed in doing is making an ass out of yourself and pissing me the fuck off!

I was so addicted to the show and when the series ended I was in withdrawal. I got my first book for Christmas 08 and and was hooked. Ran out bought the whole series and read it in a week. Just finished book 9 in one day. It is hard to read a book first then see the movie/ show ect. I am glad I read the books after and could reference the hot actors in the True Blood series.

I read the series first. Some things gets lost in the transition from print to film,but I do love the show. I think Mr. Ball has done a smashing job! :)

I got the series kinda just randomly from the store. And read the first 9, then saw they were making a series. I was pretty pumped but they've changed a lot of things on the show. Which i guess is ok, kinda gives you a different spin on things.
The books are defs better.

I probably would have read the books before, but i didn't know the series was based off a book series until the fourth season (I didn't start watching the series until after the fourth season finale). Love them both!
