Dianna shouldn't have to apologize. What sort of parent is giving their child GQ? Or letting them watch Glee for that matter? Glee's def a PG-13 sort of show, not suited for 8-year olds, OBVIOUSLY.

i agree with swimchick, she should've told the haters who's eight year old kids got a copy of GQ to stop spending so much time whining about people's photoshoots that are none of there buisiness and spend more time supervising what magazines there kids are reading!

I totally agree with both of you. The show is indeed rated tv 14 in the first place. And if your kid is reading these kinds of magazines then that parent is not doing their job. Dianna Agron has nothing to apologize for. She can do whatever type of photoshoot she wants.

She doesn't actually apologise, she uses irony which is AWESOME!!!
Go Dianna, like a boss!
"If you are hurt or these photos make you uncomfortable, it was never our intention. And if your eight-year-old has a copy of our GQ cover in hand, again I am sorry. But I would have to ask, how on earth did it get there?"

^^ She does apologize... but she makes sure she apologizes for the correct thing. She apologizes when she says, "Now, in perpetuating the type of images that evoke these kind of emotions, I am sorry." Of course she does not clarify what sort of emotions she is referring to... so if she's referring to anger than she didn't really get what people were criticizing, but if she was referring to feelings of inequality, sexism, and pedophilia- then she chose to apologize for the thing that actually mattered. These are feelings we should be combating, not perpetuating.

I think she of course had a great point when she said "And if your eight-year-old has a copy of our GQ cover in hand, again I am sorry. But I would have to ask, how on earth did it get there?" But I am not sure why she even said that since most people are not talking about eight year olds reading the magazine... when people refer to children reading the magazine many people are referring to fifteen year olds. and I actually haven't heard much criticism saying that children will read the magazine... that really wasn't one of the issues.

But either way she said it beautifully when she said "You can’t erase the strokes you’ve made, but each step is much bolder and more deliberate." Assuming that she will follow through with this... that should be an inspirational message to all. I personally believe in making deliberate decisions in life- and when you do something, you should be doing it because you decided it will make an impact and make a statement so it's worth doing. And if you engage in positive bold behavior... well that's fantastic.
