Close your eyes through your entire practice session. Do not picture your way around the fretboard, hear your way around it.
Hear yourself to the inayofuata note, to the next, chord, to the inayofuata scale. It should be a relaxed exercise, not a strained one. Like when you're at a distance from a battery powered clock.
If wewe strain to listen to its tick wewe cant hear it but when wewe relax and allow it to come to you, wewe can hear it clearly.
