Made up mermaid powers?

hujambo all of the mashabiki of H2O! I am currently working on uandishi a story based off of H2O and I want to include zaidi mermaids with different powers. Does any one have any ideas of some made up powers over water that I could use? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
