Hey! Here are some facts I found in my book, The Magic Of Harry, NZ children pay tribute to JK Rowling. It's an oldish book, and only the first 4 book were published, so some of the facts are old and might not really make sense, au something. Here wewe go -
1. JK Rowling wrote her first book when she was 6, and it was called Rabbit - it was about a rabbit.
2. The 4 Harry Potter vitabu have been rated #1, #2, #3 and #4 on the adult bestseller orodha of The New York Times.
3. A bookshop in England sold one copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban every 40 sekunde in the first saa it was available!
4. In the first 3 hours of it's release The Prisoner of Azkaban sold 16,853 copies throughout England. That's zaidi than 5600 copies every hour!
5. Joanne's ( J.K's ) fave mwandishi is Jane Austen.
6. Hermione is a bit like Joanne when she was 11.
7. Both The Philosophers Stone and The Chamber of Secrets won the dhahabu Smarties Children's Book award which is voted for kwa British school-children.
8. The names of the Hogwarts Houses were created on the back of an airplane sick bag.
9. There will be 7 Harry Potter vitabu in total - one for each of Harry's years at Hogwarts.
10. Chinese translations of the first 3 Harry Potter vitabu are now being sold in China.
