arguably that was written two years ago, and in like november of last year he bought a proper house and he is slightly happier because it isn't such a big issue with the press and when they do ask he says something along the line of it;s getting better. There is also speculation here in England that he is going to send his kids to a major boarding school here in England (i have friends who go to it) and that probably means his wife is moving to America with him. I really do hope he can get past this and it stops becoming so hard for him..

He suffers from depression, so being away from your wife & children must be even more harder, becasue the things that make you happy aren't there!!
I have read a more up to date article about how it's eaiser as he kids are a lot older now, than when he started 'House'!
Obviously none of us can say how he's feeling, i just hope that he can get past this :)
We love him :D <3

"Mail Online" ? Sounds totally legit ;) I don't believe a word of that shit because (1)some of the facts were completely wrong like his salary, (2)Most of his words were taken out of context--I've seen him say those things in interviews and he's not talking about his depression, (3) they never gave specific names about the people talking about him...they just said a friend sent mail in(Bogus), (4) they didn't site any of their sources which means they have none. Hugh is fine guys. Everyone goes through rough patches and the media will do anything to exaggerate that. Let the man be.

Actually what they said was all truth, they did an interview with him a few years ago, they used some of that to write this one probably.

The Times online don't make up stories.

this is an old article. We were watching season 2 or 3 I think. Now his family has moved to LA, they also interviewed him on this and he said it's better having his family in the same Country. ;)

it seems old to me too.. and by the way let's leave the guy alone, he has ups and downs as usual. though the picture of him on the boat is really sad. It reminds me when I was living alone in US one year ago..

I read this exact same thing a year or so ago... don't take it as something in the present, because it clearly isn't.

Hugh has moved on from this , he has his own place in America now which has clearly made a big difference to him , he has looked much happier of late and has come to terms with Jo and the children being back in the UK , they go over as often as possible and its easier now they have thier own home , no planning involved just flights to arrange ,plus even with the little time off he gets it must be much easier to relax in your own Home than a rented apartment or Hotel room , Jo and the children have been with him a lot more this year than previous years , he seems fine and hopefully enjoying his time off in London with his family , hope he has a great birthday on June 11th with Jo Stephen and his children .xx

Sheps, his salary was right. It's just in British pounds. he does get quite a lot.

I know that he's bought a house and everything, but I was talking more about the troubles of the past, before House. That stuff just doesn't disappear off someone's memory. I just hope he's doing better than he was back then.

I wouldn't say it was ALL cleared up in the interview, but the picture of him in the boat was.
BUT THIS INTERVIEW IS FROM 2 YEARS AGO and some others mixed in.
I do hope he's doing better and not just saying he's not miserable.
If he regrets talking about his depression, he's not going to say its ture again

Well, by looking at my picture you would never think I'm miserable and depressed. It becomes a mask you put on everyday in public even in front of close friends and family. Just something to make everyone else feel better. You won't have many friends that want to hang out if you're a sorry sap all the time.

Hugh can fake being content just as he can mimic an American accent on House. I'm not saying he's depressed all I'm saying is he could be without us knowing.

There is no denying that HL wasn't as miserable as his character a few years ago, perhaps for a good part of his life.
But if you watch interviews, see pictures, listen to him nowadays -- the way he talks of House and how lucky, how much he loves it.

I think he is completely different these days from back then.
Seems as though in the battle of depression, he is at a high point.
I just hope this isn't the eye of the storm.
He sounds ... happy.
