I love Kushiel's Legacy by Jacqueline Carey. It's set in alternative version of France, which is called Terre D'Ange. They have religion, which has only one commandment, 'Love As Thou Wilt' and it seems that all of them are bisexual. The main character called Phedre is a masochist (but don't worry it's not porn story). There is another heroine, Melisandre and Phedre hates her and is afraid of her, but she really desires her.
I also like lesbians from comic book The Sandman: Season of Mists.

If you want I can do some research and make you a list of lesbian themed books like I made the one with lesbian themed movies.

Try Jeanette Winterson's books. They are really good, especially Written on the Body.

I'm going to have to go and get all of these books now! XP

I've read Tipping the Velvet and Fingersmith by Sarah Waters, they were both really good but I liked Fingersmith better. :]

There's also a YA one called Keeping You a Secret that wasn't bad. It's a good read if you're gay and still in high school!

I've also read Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult. I have to say I wasn't expecting much from that book, but for a straight author she did a damn good job getting everything - all the emotions and shit - accurate. The only that bothered me was how quickly the main character decided to switch from "straight" to "gay" without any in-between. She was married to a guy she loved, it would've seemed more realistic if the word "bisexual" had at least been mentioned, but that's a minor point, lol. Overall it was a good book that I'd highly suggest. ^_^
