Lurlene was born in Manitoba, Canada on April 5, 1944 .She has lived in the United states most of her life.She has written over 60 young adult books.She is well known for uandishi about characters struggling with mortality and chronic illness. Her characters have grappled with cancer, diabetes, organ failure, and the deaths of loved ones through disease au suicide.
To make her novels medically accurate, she interviews health professionals and works with various medical groups including hospices. She also studies the Bible to help infuse her work with "the human element.
She first started uandishi after she found out her son had diabetes.



Note* i upendo lurlene's vitabu alot . i have chrones disease so when ever i feel that i'm the only one going through stuff i pick up one of her vitabu to read so i now their our other kids who go through illness and some who never make it through,.
