The inayofuata siku came like a bolt again going through the cycle of breakfast, bath time, wearing the school uniform and school itself. Having to go through activities wasn’t really that enjoyable to me as the activity this siku was song composing (on muziki period) but Mrs. Sync spared us some difficulty and got us to our temporary groups: one group for each row of arm chairs, vertically and also that we can take the melody from other songs and just rewrite the lyrics
“okay, so we get to be groupmates then” Liz alisema to me as she gathered the rest of our group to huddle up
“so what do we do?” I ask looking at her expectantly “first up is what song we should use for this assignment”
“hmm…how about just some nursery rhymes?” Joy suggested, joining the discussion
“yeah, that would be easier for us” another gppony, pony joined in (I had yet to know her name)
We-oops,sorry,I mean-They tried to come up with some lyrics for some nursery rhymes, only to fail miserably…this was the first time we did this, mind wewe (yes, I secretly made some too but didn’t really speak up)
Releasing a sigh of defeat another one of us suggested that we just tell the teacher if we can just use a part of a full song to rewrite and the alisema person, nodded hesitantly, probably because were having to many chances just for this one assignment, so we promised ourselves to just do the assignment without asking for more…thankfully we were able to progress, deciding on the song ‘Like a Rose’…but as luck may have had it, muziki session was wayyy overtime so the teacher just left it at that, reminding us that the song we made shall be performed inayofuata time
I sighed, it was already annoying that I was useless in this but SINGING? Nope, not a chance, even if I did want to redeem myself for being so worthless it was so EMBARRASSING to sing in front of all of them,I get stage fright and get all negative and stuff, I might forget the lyrics and just say bila mpangilio words! But I guess, I’d try to just ignore all of them, that’s what I mostly do…yeah, that’s right, just ignore them
The rest of the siku went ‘great’ having to work with other temporary groups our other subject teachers assigned us to, doing zaidi activities like reporting, self-explaining and other stuff…well, at least we get a break, 2 recesses , lunch time and Independent Cooperative Learning, as written in our class schedule along with other subject periods that are really confusing to me since they are all in different days, not like when I was still in elementary, where we do all the subjects at once…well this was certainly a first
“Whoa! Sorry about that” a stallion with blue hair alisema to me, picking up the mkate I bought for recess
“(hmm…this boy, seems to have a bit longer hair than most boys,familiar?...oh, yeah! I saw him in class, he’s my classmate this year, transfer student.i guess…)”
“um…hello?” oh? What?
“oh, thanks…and sorry for zoning out” I alisema instantly…arg! That was so lame!
“no problem” he replied, smiling a bit before he returned to the classroom, I followed behind since it was also my classroom, I still didn’t know his name…well, I guess most of us are strangers to each other, so I don’t really mind
Krrring!
I hear the bell, behind me as I bite the last of my chokoleti bread, its time for nyumbani Economics,I let out a final ‘Yum’ before I throw the wrapper in the front pocket of my bag and focused my attention in front, where Mrs. raspberry, rasiberi now stands
