I have a whole box of pencils. Most of them are sharpened. There are a few pens trown in for fun. I say there is an upside and a downside to being a writer. Upside: wewe always have pencils. Downnside: they seem to vanish right when wewe need one. I spent hours searching for one pencil only to wake up the inayofuata morning and remember where I put the pencilbox.
I prefer uandishi with #2s. The graphite seems to flow better. My inayopendelewa is a Mirado Black Warrior. I call it the Mirado. That pencil has helped spawn my first novel.
Ticonderogas write well, but they feel too……impersonal. They don't channel my thoughts as well. They work great for certain tests, but I don't like uandishi with them.
I usually hate secondhand pencils, but sometimes they work well for essays and such. I willingly adopt any abandoned pencil I find.

Wen I write, there are no drafts, no revisions, no edits. If the pencil is a good one, it will connect to my mind kwa way of the nerves in my arm and will directly channel my thoughts. The story that emerges is exactly the way I saw it in my mind. When others tell me that it's not perfect until I revise, I ignore them. Revising ruins the original vision.

kwa the way, if wewe happen to see a Mirado Black Warrior with a worn down eraser, I Lost mine today.
