I'm a sucker for friendship-romances (not a technical term, but oh well), where they're best (or at least, very good) friends and gradually fall in love with each other. Seems more realistic. And Skipper does seem to be showing some signs of a crush on Marlene. I think he could fall in love and get married again. My brothers are both military, take-charge folk, and they're married. :) As for the kissing and kids issue, they could adopt (like someone mentioned earlier) or just not have kids at all (tis possible, ya know), and because this is a cartoon world I'm pretty sure a penguin could kiss an otter without decaptitating her. Though it'd still probably be nervewracking for poor Marlene. I've had a penguin beak come at my face before, and even though I know it wasn't trying to attack me...it was still a "oh crud" moment. However, I don't think Skipper "likes" her just yet. Possibly in future episodes, things might change. Nick tends to do that with characters you least expect or do expect (i.e. Jimmy Neutron or Avatar).
