Penny Dreadful" season three suggests Vanessa Ives and Ethan Chandler will face off against Count Dracula while Lily Frankenstein works with Dorian Gray to assemble an army of acolytes.

Showtime recently announced that "Penny Dreadful" season three will premiere on May 1 and released three new teasers, reported Dread Central.

The first sneak peek for "Penny Dreadful" season three hinted that Lucifer and Count Dracula are competing with one another in order to corrupt Vanessa.

In the second season, it was revealed that Dracula and Lucifer are fallen angels who rebelled against the Christian God. They want to kidnap Vanessa because she\'s the reincarnation of an ancient Egyptian goddess named Amunet.

If Vanessa\'s soul is corrupted, then Amunet will wake up and start an apocalypse that will wipe out humanity.

The trailer also suggested that Ethan manages to escape from his father\'s house in America and he will team up with Vanessa to fight Dracula.

The second "Penny Dreadful" teaser trailer also hinted that Ethan\'s time in America has finally forced him to accept his werewolf side, noted Entertainment Weekly.

In the previous season, it was revealed that Ethan is the Hound of God and it was prophesized that he is the only one who can save Vanessa from the two fallen angels.

It will be interesting to see if Ethan and Vanessa go on the offensive and use their respective supernatural abilities to attack Dracula.

The final "Penny Dreadful" teaser suggested that Lily and Dorian are assembling an army of acolytes.

In one scene, the couple can be scene watching what appears to be both wealthy men and women perform some sort of occult ritual.

There\'s also a glimpse of Lily caressing the face of one of her acolytes and remarked that she will finally be able to take revenge.

Perhaps the two villains infiltrate a secret society and try to recruit the members for their army.

The "Penny Dreadful" season three premiere will air on Sunday, May 1, at 10p.m. on Showtime.
