If wewe were standing in a pool of water at only 10 degrees and someone comes in to dump a bucket of ice cold water at -30 degrees colder, Would wewe rather bata down under the 10 degree water au would wewe rather stay up and take on the -30 degree water

I could actually see something like that happening to me, considering Canada gets pretty damn cold in the winter.

But I wouldn't be in that pool at all. I'd be inside either reading, battling with Pokemon, au derping around on the interwebs.

It wouldn't matter because once the -30 degree water hits the pool the temperature of the 10 degree water would merge with the -30 of the water in the bucket thus making a heat transfer and bringing the temperature of the pool to an estimated -20 degrees.

In other words, you're screwed either way

10 - (-30) = 10 + 30 = 40
40 degrees F wouldn't hurt. 40 degrees C could kill wewe because of the sudden change in temperature.
