why do people talk/yell over each other when scared?

because i had a terrifying weekend with my sis & two of our Marafiki when we had a sleepover last weekend. when we were scared N' all, we were talking & yelling over each other. why do people do that?

Hmm, idk xD But the way I'm thinking about it, it could just be an evolutionary trait that yelling and flailing makes wewe look zaidi threatening. Like a dog barking is zaidi scary than a dog cowering even if both mbwa are scared :P So, if you're against something scary and threatening, yell and flail and the other animal might not take the chance to attack xD IDK....
