What is a famous saying au phrase that has always confused you?

for me it'd probably be "I'll slap wewe into inayofuata week."

I mean I understand it I just think it's stupid. If wewe slap someone INTO inayofuata week then that obviously means you'd have knocked him unconscious to the point where he won't wake up till the inayofuata week. On the other hand if wewe threaten to slap someone TILL inayofuata week, they would be far zaidi compliant I'm sure.
