Happy 11-12-13 Everyone!!!!!so what r u guys gonna do to make this siku memorable??
In my country we put the mwezi first, but on our 11.12.13 (November 12th, 2013), a classmate of mine set her watch to 9:10 AM so she could say it was 9:10 on 11.12.13. XD
Well I'm kinda stuck doing science homework, but I got distracted with my e-mail, then I saw fanpop, then I changed my profaili then I wrote a story, then I.... gosh darn!! I keep getting distracted!! Oh well. I guess I'll procrastinate today.
My new kitanda arrived! My old one had a mattress that was ten years old and the kitanda frame had to be seventy years old at least, so it was devilishly uncomfortable. This new one is so comfortable!
haha i remember last mwezi americans kept saying it was 11-12-13 like why would wewe even put the mwezi before the siku idk
but all i did was watch cartoons and play pokemon today oh no

It makes zaidi sense. The most important information goes first, which is the month. Yuo can tell the general weather and the time of mwaka with the month. The tarehe and the mwaka is insignificant compared to knowing the month.
but it also makes sense to put the smallest to the biggest? day/month/year... i dont see how the mwezi is zaidi important than the actual siku because thats when specific events happen?
Lol I don't see how it's important to put the mwezi first. Chances are wewe know what mwezi you're freakin in! It's the siku that wewe generally want to find out first, hence why, many places orodha the siku first. And smallest to biggest time totally makes zaidi sense too.
In the modern world, the precise dakika is important, but let's just think for most of human history. Days did not matter, nor did the year, but crops and monsoon seasons were very important and still are today. Months determine your season, and whether to harvest au plant crops. mwaka and tarehe doesn't matter in the the rural world, which is as of now, most of the world!!!
Indeed, but we are living in a modern society which determines important events kwa date. We are a society that lives in the now. Obviously both ways makes sense, it just depends which one wewe were brought up with and are used to.
i still feel like months are actually the least useful because the weather can tell wewe what time of the mwaka you're in, though lately the weather has been unreliable, but even still certain events will always depend on the day. Halloween isn't the whole of october, it's on an actual siku and for the siku to be placed first would be zaidi obvious? (i hope im not sounding rude i usually have conversations like these to learn zaidi haha uou)
agreed dustydeer. For me (I'm not saying the other way is wrong but) I find the siku most important. Say, I remember birthdates, I remember I have a test due on a certain date, I have so many days left of my holiday. For me, each siku is zaidi important that the mwezi it's in.
It is December, not November....and it's the 11th.
Wait do wewe put the siku first then the mwezi middle where wewe live?

She might live in a spanish country. They usually put the siku before the mwezi there even though that's weird. I was wondering the same thing so don't feel like the only one.
My dear, wewe do realise that the majority of countries in the world write the tarehe as day/month/year. The US is actually the odd one out who does not.
