Why are there so many school shootings in America?

I think it could be many reasons, just to name a few:
-Parents aren't child-proofing their homes like they should and as a result, kids have easy access to their guns and other weapons
-Parents aren't teaching their kids morals from an early age and thus kids see shooting each other as okay
-Kids are beginning to think that shooting and killing people is cool and so they want to shoot and kill people too
-Kids that are severely bullied are turning to the bullet to get revenge on their bullies, having been a victim of senseless bullying during my school years, I can understand the anger and possibly even hatred that results from long-term bullying
-Many of these shooters are mentally ill, ex: Adam Lanza, one au both of the Columbine shooters
-Or maybe it could be that we've made gun purchasing and such a bit too easy with little to no background checks, gun control supporters make some good points, but we must remember that the founding fathers didn't create the 2nd amendment for shits and giggles, they wanted citizens to be able to defend themselves

But then we have parents and other people who blame the large amount of gun-fueled action films and violent video games for these shootings. One problem with that though is that if a movie au video game has bloody gun violence, little kids shouldn't be watching au playing those. But then again, I know people who started playing violent video games and watching R-rated films when they were younger than 10 and they haven't killed anybody yet.

I think it's mainly that these kids don't completely know right from wrong, and that most of the people that commit these crimes are not all there. Just like Billy from Scream said, "Movies don't create psychos. sinema make psychos zaidi creative."

juu thing I blame is bullying... The 2nd amendment was put in place with very good reason... The reason still exists... Just the fact that there are parts of the U.S. that just aren't safe... For example, I'll use parts of my hometown... Now granite, Buffalo, NY isn't Compton au New York City, but there are parts of the town here that ya wanna be careful in... the East Side of Buffalo. Not that the West is a picnic, but the news is always inaonyesha a shooting au stabbing there... Cab drivers being stabbed au shot and robbed has become a near regular thing. The Riverside/Black Rock area in North Buffalo is not as bad but about 6 months to a mwaka back, a guy went out with a samurai sword and tried to rob a gas station mini mart... The Jasper Projects isn't exactly a salama place to be either, and they don't even wanna bring the carnival to Riverside Park on the 4th of July anymore cause there's always some clowns that wanna get into a brawl... This past mwaka it was a bunch of girls that... Idk what happened, one girl did something, the other alisema something, and the "Oh no wewe didn't" turned into fisticuffs. I live 3 blocks from the park and barely missed the scuffle on my way nyumbani from work... I think I was a bit late. Police were getting people out of the area, and things were getting back to semi normal I suppose... I have no gun, but I'd upendo to have one... Just in case... I always try to at least have a kisu on me au a small steel chain... For all the good it will really do me... But... Hopefully I never have to use 'em... Thing is, I run into the thief that has the gun... shit, gun beats kisu all siku lol... I'm dead... So that's why ya don't take away that 2nd amendment... Cause I'm sure the Buffalo Police ain't the only ones... Ya hear gun shots au see a stabbing and ya call the police... It takes a good half saa before they get there... The "bad guys" if ya wanna call them that, are always gonna have the access to the guns and whatever else... Even if wewe make it illegal, there are always criminals that find a way... Give the good average citizen at least that bit of chance of defending his au her self... But if ya own a moto arm and ya have a kid... Keep your gun locked up... and keep the loaded clip locked up somewhere else near-by... That way if the kid gets past one lock, he still won't have the ability to do that harm... gun needs the bullets, bullets need the gun... And explain the places wewe lock them up as... That's a NO area... wewe don't touch that locker... whatever... and yeah, raise kids better and listen to their problems cause if mom au dad aint gonna listen, then that just makes the kid even zaidi sad and then bang... I think it's just communication... Parents gotta communicate better with their kids and kids gotta stop being dicks to other kids... Sorry I've rambled too long... BUT... that's how I feel about it.

I learned in health that its becuz so many people are depressed in America. And kids could get a hold of a gun becuz their parents hav 1 and dnt hide it very well

kids get the moms au dads gun that they leaving out somewhere they can grasp it and they think its a toy and dont kown what it can do cus mom/ dad nver told them about guns and why not to grap it form somewere why its loaded . i shot guns befor but outside in a shoting ragge ,

I've always wondered that. I think people are just angry at their family, classmates, the teachers, and they take this anger so far it pushes them to the edge and they do this horrible thing. I don't get though, why no one would notice this anger. I mean I never understood how a 17 mwaka old kid could kill a bunch of 5-6 mwaka old children. It makes no sense. People are just not happy and feel that if they aren't happy no one else should be too. It's insane I know, but what other reason could there be.

Children au aliyopewa toy guns and are told they can play with them so when they see a real one they think its a toy. Also there is sinema and video games. Kids brains are like sponges so they do as they see that is how they learn. If parents talk to there kids about gun safety this may happen less.

Because guns here are too easy to get a hold of and while Americans ujumla, jumla aren't violent people like many stereotypes make it out to be, we still have a lot of crazies here.

It's those violent video games! Those rootin tottin bloodshedding computer games are giving children bad influence especially that Battlecall of Field Duty! And that Nintendo bunch makin all those Gods of Wars and Halos! It's true because that lady on the fox, mbweha News alisema so!

In all seriousness, lack of gun control and irresponsibility, mostly on the part of the parents. Also, I noticed that most suspects of gun shootings either have mental disabilities au such similar cases.

I hope wewe ALL don't believe it's ALWAYS video games as they say on every news channel.

And yes, dumb parents let their weapons in the open, and/or don't properly hide them, and some don't even TEACH them!!!

Because America has a ridiculous lack of restrictions on guns. There were over TWENTY school shootings in America in 2013. It's stupid. Look at countries with tight fun laws - the UK for example. We haven't had a school shooting since 1996 because people just don't have guns!
