I don't actively hold grudges just for the sake of being uchungu, chungu and as an excuse to bring things back up. But I rarely forgive people. If someone did me wrong I just cut them out and forget them, minus the forgiving part. They just become nothing.

Present. Very much so. Thinking too much on the past will get wewe depressed and thinking of the future too much will stress wewe out. Particularly since both are generally hard to control.

Depends on who wewe are. I either hold the largest grudges au forgive zaidi than I should.
