We're off to Singapore now for round 15 of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship! The championship is drawing to a close with only 5 more races to go. The driver's championship is still wide open and so is the race for 6th in the constructors which we are determined to defend! Here are a few facts about the Singapore GP you might enjoy:
- An F1 race was held in what is currently Singapore in 1961.
- The race was closed in 1973 apparently due to the effort it took to close the roads in Singapore.
- In 2008, the first night race was held in Singapore.
- This is the 10th edition of the Singapore GP
- Adrian has been unlucky in Singapore so far.
- Force India has conventionally not done too well at high downforce circuits. We expect to do well at Singapore though given our performance in Monaco, Valencia, and more recently Hungary where we were unlucky.
- As you must already know, Singapore is currently the only night race on the F1 Calender.
