Shailene Woodley And Theo James Share Their Favorite ‘Insurgent’ Scenes In Interview

Shailene Woodley and Theo James are known to have great chemistry on-screen and off after starring together in “Divergent.” Now that the second installment of the movie, “Insurgent” released, the couple reveal their favorite scenes and it’s not what you may have expected.

Woodley and James played a strong power couple in the movie as Tris and Four and while some would expect them to say their steamy love scene was their favorite part to work on, they reveal something else. Both the stars say the intense action scenes were their favorite ones to film.

During an interview with AOL Build, Woodley joked that all of the scenes where she’s running were the best before revealing her actual favorite.

“The house sequence was really neat because there’s a lot of wirework involved and you don’t often get to do those types of stunts,” said Woodley to

Cambio. She continued to refer to the part where she’s trying to save her mother from burning, floating house in a realistic looking simulation.

James completed some of his own stunts where he jumps over a moving train, which some actors would get a stunt double for because of how dangerous it is.

“People keep saying to me, ‘You were on wires, right?’ And I’m like, ‘No, no, I did it myself.’ And they’re like, ‘No, you couldn’t do that...you loser!’” said James while admitting that the train wasn’t actually moving, but did take that big jump. “They just basically set up a piece of track and then I had to jump across it.”

“Stunts are fun to do,” added Woodley. “You’re sort of guaranteed safety and they’re exhilarating. You get a free adrenaline rush without much danger involved.”

James previously revealed to People magazine that the movie is about two character who are “damaged people trying to struggle through a war, which makes [their relationship] richer and more enticing.” He added that his character, Four’s objective is “to protect Tris and the broader society, and mixed into that are his own personal demons.”

In “Insurgent,” which released March 20, Four and Tris find themselves on the run, being hunted down by Jeanine.
