It's tough. I don't want to miss out on any of my shows, and I'm kinda of mad that the writers would put them in jeopardy. However, I also hope to someday work as a writer in Hollywood and I understand that the writers can't just bend over for the studios and get paid less than they deserve.

I'm not angry at the writers, but I'll be disappointed if seasons are cut short because of a strike. I think that people should remember that not all the members of the WGA work on highly successful shows, and that, for the most part, writers don't get paid a lot for the contribution they make.
If it comes down to a strike, I'll be bummed, and hope that it gets resolved sooner rather than later.

I agree. I would be so sad if any of the shows I watch have to be shortened, but I don't think it would be the writer's fault.

The strike has already begun as of November 1st.
I hate this because a lot of movies are filmed around here, and with the Canadian Doller as high as it is, this may be just the boost they need to start moving down south.

Although I am sad that the strike will probably result in a shortened season, I think that a strike is necessary. Writers should be getting their fair share, especially in regard to new media, as right now they don't get any residuals for that. I just hope it doesn't last too long because many people's jobs, not just the writers, are affected by the strike.

Anyone who is still on the fence or is against it should read these posts by actual writers (Joss Whedon and Brian K. Vaughan)
