Am I the only shabiki in this club that doesn't like the talking gargoyles (spellcheck to gargoyles.)?

This is one of my fave Disney movies, so I'm sorry if anyone is upset kwa this. This is just one person's opinion. I also just joined fanpop so I'm just getting used to this, please bare w/ me. I just don't understand why the gargoyles are in the movie. I get that they're to lighten the mood a little, and to serve as a means for Quasi (QuasiLove!) to have ppl to talk to. But those seem to me to be the only reasons they're in the movie. They serve in real purpose to the story (they weren't in the book so they can't use that as a reason), except in helping Quasi fight off soldiers at the end. They could've just left them out of the film and have suffered little to nothing as far as story. They aren't bad characters, they're just out of place. Am I alone on this? Does anyone else feel this way? Sorry for any spelling and/or gramatical errors. Remember I'm new here, and still figuring out my way through this site. No, wewe are not alone, I don't like the gargoyles either, everytime I watch the movie and it comes to some part of the Gargoyles, I fast mbele it to the inayofuata part of the movie.(which is sometimes a headache when wewe have it on VHS) So I say their Quasimodo's imagination, although, if they are Quasi's imagination, then how can Madellaine see them in the sequel? Anyway, wewe can think what wewe want, but wewe are not the only person in this club to think that way either.

You're probably right about why they are there. Comic relief, to lighten the mood. A bit like Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King (although they did serve a crucial purpose in the storyline too). Everyone's entitled to their own opinion though, and wewe are probably not alone on this.

It also bothers me that the movie is based on not judging kwa appearences, yet they're constantly doing that. It breaks the message in half.

Maybe if they took a zaidi mature approach about them. They were going for a dark theme anyhow, why make it unbalanced kwa adding the typical Disney sidekicks and just go all the way?

Exhibit B: Racism against gypsies
Exhibit C: Frollo's song as he "talks to God" about how sin is controlling him.
