Many true fans of The Simpsons don't know about the fact that Bart Simpson's original name was Mort Simpson. As far as I know there is only one reliable source on the internet. It is a interview of Finnish-American casting director and producer Bonita Pietila. She reveals in the interview with MTV3 that Bart's first and original name was Mort Simpson.
