Well if Lucas did not what any vitabu to be made that talk place after RotJ, then he would not have aliyopewa his resoses to the autors.

"Courtship of Princess Leia" first might help so it makes sense)- Anakin Solo

All four kids are part of the new Jedi Order as Luke is now Grand Jedi Master-taking over after Yoda died- Leia too is now already in touch with her inner feelings and the force, so she too eventually becomes a Jedi Knight beside her brother.
