My world changed the siku my mom died as I’m in my fathers plane au our company plane that he owns. I remember the siku I was in the waiting room that the wreak had killed her . I remember stand on the cliff overlooking the ocean hoping that I would wake up to fide that it had all been a dream.
The metal had not cut though my mother flesh that her blood was not stain of the road. It was my fault I had been the one that had been at the party I should not have.
I pulled my headphones out of my ears as the plane touch down my father was standing beside the plane he came before me to get everything ready for us. I hated that he had made me songesha because he didn’t want to be inside the same house that mom had once lived au even in the same town. That town was all I had after that thing with my mom. Now I had no one to help me though this . As I pulled myself out of my dads plane and out to the car he tried to give me a hug ,but before he could even put his arm around me I pushed him off. He gets his old low brow and slim line frown pushing his eyelids down. My fathers helping hands carry my luggage to the car and then we drove away not one word passed between us the whole two saa ride I looked out the window in to the crowd mitaani, mtaa of the city we had to pass though then to the tall mti witch were just as big as the building we passed in the city. We went down this long driveway to the mduara, duara there were no house I then knew this was my house it was a three story tall with house with big bricks over the two cedar doors with a small window in the middle over it was a balcony had of black metal it had five windows on the front all in different sizes the one kwa the I think is the living room was the biggest it had what looked like white satin behind it. The lawn was the bright green the kind wewe only see in the sinema cause it is to beautiful to be really. The front had purple daisies and those small trees that had the two circles on it who knows what they are called. He pulled in front of the house dad look over at me his blond hair fall into his face with one of those stupid smiles “Welcome home” he alisema I looked away from him out the window “My nyumbani is back in California ,not here” I whispered. I dragged myself out of the car up the walk and pushed myself though the to wide doors . The entryway open up on juu of half mduara, duara platform that had three under it getting bigger and bigger as they went down. On the opposite ukuta was one of those sliding doors they had a deep black trim all around them there were a cedar meza, jedwali that had a vase on juu of it with white maua, ua in it above it was a grand mirror with dhahabu trim. Both sides of it had huge arch ways that lead in to the living room on the other side was a grand staircase with black railing twisted metal like on of those old fashion Spanish metal work. There was big paintings everywhere of sunsets ,sunrises , and other scenes in all of these different colors. I went up the stair the sekunde floor looked like it was a big game there was one room over to right side the door was closed it must be dads room inayofuata to it was my dads office but besides that there was a 56 inch plasma T.V. that had two brown kitanda with a meza, jedwali in the middle . With all of it was a pool table, pinball machine, dart board, and a jukebox . I went up to third floor it had walls all around it with a door in front of me I open it to see a huge room there was a Queen size kitanda with this black gaze around it the walls had huge yellow waves and a purple sky inayofuata to the entryway was on the right a closet on the left was a bathroom there was black furniture the dawati with the matching chair side meza, jedwali on both sides of the kitanda . In front of the kitanda was a yellow rectangle carpet . I closed the door walked over to the kitanda and fell face mbele into the cushion . After awhile there came a knock on the door “Come in” yelled. My father open with him was a girl a little taller then me she had short choppy platinum blond hair it spiked up in every direction she had crystal green eyes it looked like the color of moss . She had a thick line of black eyeliner with black eye shadow on juu of it covered with mascara . Her lips had a deep red color it scream . In between her eyes and mouth was a nose hoop ring . She was wearing a pink tank with black fishnet over juu paired with black skinny jeans and black boots.
“Aurora this is Haeiley Celeron I work with her father I though maybe wewe two could be good friends” he put down the three boxes he had been carrying down on the floor. “So I will leave wewe two alone” . He walked out closing the door behind him she placed the boxes inayofuata to the ones he had been carrying . Slumped of the backpack that had my closes “Ha so is it weird are dad are trying to push us together”
“Ya I think my dads trying to make up to me that he took me away form California.”
“What is it like?” she came over to me sitting on the front of the kitanda as I pulled myself up to lay against the back board.
“It is amazing it is sunny all the time the beach, pwani it is the best I use to surf with the girls back there and the guys were great. Me and my mom use to hang out on this ledge a listen to Queens as the tide came in she loved that band” the frown set in to my face.
“Your dad told me what happen I’m sorry…..So when do wewe start school?”
“Tomorrow I wish I was not no offence it just wish I was back in California I knew everyone back there I know wewe that is it.”
“Well I could introduced wewe to my brother and his Marafiki and my band”
“That would be great to have someone to talk to”
“Well I could pick wewe up the flashy car is probably not the best way to start things out with a big flash car slapping them in the face”
“Good idea”
“Do wewe need any help with unpacking I could help?”
“Sure”
I walked over to the CD player and put in Queen’s Greatest Hits , and turned it up.
“Do wewe mind if I ask wewe ? swali if I am out of line just don’t answer it.”
“Sure wewe can asked”
“Do wewe miss your mom a lot?”
“Ya she was like my best friend we could talk about everything. We liked the same muziki and movies. We were like twin in some ways. In some ways a lot of ways I could get along zaidi with her then any of my friend. The siku she died I thought time had stop au it should have , like the world had killed me and everything I ever loved. I remember stand were we use to sit and talk let wind blow from behind me hoping it would take me away” I wipe away the tear hanging on my eyes.
“I’m sorry I bet it is hard”
“ Still is it never get better wewe just get numb. … let’s talk about something else”
“You will upendo the guys they are the best Austin, Jeff, and James. They are the biggest clowns.”
“Ya I know a few of those”
“Right it like they never want to stay in one place, if they ever did I think they would explode and blast to the moon”
We both talk and laugh for hours, it was the first time since my moms death that I had laugh. au felt normal we are, were good Marafiki she stay for chajio, chakula cha jioni even. I think my dad did know what he was doing for the first time.
My dad hasn’t really look at me since my mom death I look to much like her. We both had the same dark brown hair that went all the way down our back. Same bight sea blue eyes the sun kissed skin both short both upendo swimming. We looked like sisters, twin even if wewe had put side kwa side. upendo to be together .
That night when I want to sleep I felt a small twinge of hope but push it back down. So that I would not get hurt when it panned out. I curled up under the blanket as the light turned to black.
I was looking at a scene there was huge pine oak trees towered above me dark ribbons flied above me a dark smell was in the air the moon all so dark hovered above me. The night sky above was pitch dark with million of stars over head . But there was barely light to see figures were jumping in the trees there white skin was almost shined in the night. There was a girl in a deep red dress blowing in the wind black rope with a kofia pulled over her head she was running fast though the forest. She ran like a cheetah after it prey but in this case she was the prey hoping in the for the life the predator wanted to take from her. There was a lot of mbwa mwitu howling coming form behind the men in the trees . “ run hurry run “ I yell at her . She tripped over a branch and fell on to her face. She pulled herself up the kofia falling on to her back. She looked exactly like me “ahhhhh” above her was there exactly the men jumping from mti to mti . Were about to jump down and claim her in one songesha . She got up a continued to run her hair blowing in the wind pulling it away from her face inaonyesha of the look of pure terror. She got to a ledge the was one of those huge castles it looked zaidi like a fort it towers rose high above reaching for the sky in a need to be part of it . As she was running to the castles her dress turned into black cameos and a red shirt. And then hair turn in to my cut her eyes donned my make-up and her my shaded, I screamed.
My eyes snapped open to the bight light that was coming from the window I rolled out the kitanda with this exactly numb feeling. All of my limbs were shaky . I hurry to change into a pair of big black baggy pants and my long shelves purple shati match with a pair of combat boots. When I got to the bottom of the stair I saw that dads car was gone he must have left early.
A big blaring horn came from the front I grab the bag that I left kwa the door and ran to the front there sure as rain was Haeiley in a 80’s corvette with down slated kofia an it’s muscular look. From the car came this loud bass, besi and a metal foot drum paired with it’s own steady vocal. As I open the door to Haeiley banging her head to the beat of the drum.
“What do wewe think?” she asked as she pulled away from the curve .
“Ya it is really good. Who is it ?”
“Me and the band that’s Luke on the drums he has the best beat I have ever heard. We call ourselves UNCONTROLABLE. That was my idea you’ll meet the gang today at school . You’ll upendo them I know it.”
“You do ,do you” giving her a grin.
“Yes, yes I do I am all knowing don’t wewe forget it Aurora. au I’ll kick your little California butt back to there”
We banged our heads all the way to school. The school layout was very weird it was divide up into six different building with a concrete path between them. Haeiley and me walk to the biggest building she telling me that it had the office and maktaba in it along with the extra classes and it was the lunch room for everyone who did not have a car au a ride When we walk into the office the color of the room was this dark blue with black kitanda . There was a women behind the dawati she was wearing cream pant suit she had white short hair.
“I’m new I need my schedule”
“Oh yes here wewe are” she handed me my the paper with my schedule.
“thanks” I took it and back up Haeiley came over looking over my shoulder at my schedule .
Mrs. Tayck - Math - building 2 - room 123
Mrs. Low - English- building 4 - room 252
Mr. Loph - History - building 6 - room 294
--------------- Lunch -------------------
Mrs. Royse - Art - building 3 - room 172
Mr. Notches - Fact au Fiction - building 1 - 98
Mr. Plow - Science- building 5 - room 276
As we walked outside she inaonyesha me the buildings, we walked to the sekunde building were the math classes were in the buildings were divided into the subject first extra stuff sekunde Math third the smallest one fourth English fifth science sixth history. We walked into the math building there was this hall bottom to middle was done in this off white color on the juu was this thin wood boarder above that was painted white. At the end of the hall was a staircase with a window on the ukuta of the staircase.
Haeiley look at me with a smile “ I have to go to my first class it is in the other building”.
“Ok I can handle it from here thanks see you”
“We have lunch together so meet me at the car and we will go to my parents restaurant that they own on the side”
The inayofuata hours pass in a boring lour I got to English in building 4 the English building was bright and full of life it was painted bight red there were black branches with words on the end of them the names of vitabu , nukuu from books, name of character ,and of authors, the tile were blue. The English building was one story not two like the math there were twelve doors mine was the third on the right I walked in the walls were painted with the scene of the beach, pwani with surfers in the wave and seashells all along the beach, pwani boats were also in the surf people laying on the beach, pwani smiling and laughing. There was a mat on the floor that went from corner to corner there were no dawati on the mat was pillows and throw blankets. The teacher was sitting in this huge chair in the front. Everyone start coming in and sitting on the mat and getting comfortable as they pulled out a copy of pride and prejudges that were this dark brown color.
The teacher came over to me and handing me a copy and then I went into the corner. I curled up into a ball that class period we read the part were Elizabeth went to Margaret after she got married when she sees Mr. Darcy. When the kengele rang I had to go to another building for art were we were doing a bird flying. We spent a saa doing that then I went out to the parking lot to meet Haeiley kwa her car when she got there.
We drove out to her parents place it was this small place near the school it was called SLAVEN inside the walls were red with yellow circles on the top. The walls were covered with paintings of creatures with mjusi wings with spikes on the end with a almost human center cover in scales and it’s feet had only three toes with three inches claws and had three inch claws on each fingers on each finger and vinyl’s there were these 50’s like tables. This women with long blond hair and hazel eye came out from behind the coroner Haeiley ran over to her giving her.
“Ha mom this Aurora the daughter of the guy that works with dad”
Her mom looked over at Haeiley roll her eye then took my hand.
“Hi Aurora it is very nice to meet you. Can I get wewe something before the boys onyesha up? If I don’t get it now wewe will get nothing.”
“Sure I’ll have a cheese burger if wewe don’t mind that would be great.”
“No problem” she turn to Haeiley “The usual for wewe sweetheart?”
“Ya thanks mom”
Her mom disappear though the door she came from, Haeiley and I go over to the one of those mduara, duara booth. That is when they came through the door she call them the rag gang they were the ones wewe go to when. They were a group of five men they had tojo all over them price. The lead guitars’ name was C.J. he had bight red hair with the same bight blue eyes Haeiley had told me he was the best. The bass, besi was played kwa Will had a deep tan with dark brown hair. The drummer, ngoma was Luke he had almost white hair. The electric kinanda
They came over we started goofing off ,when someone came though the door he had jet black hair with the almost wave in his eyes , his eyes were sea hazel but I bet they would turn sea green later . The one ear that stuck out from his hair styled a hoop ear ring. Over his chest was a long sleeve gun n’ roses t-shirt he had cowboy pants with black combo boots. His face looked almost craved from the same stone as Michelangelo craved David. He stood high as almost the door his shoulder were wide .
Behind him were four other men they all quite handsome but the best looking one was the first. Haeiley ears perked up when she saw him she almost ran across the meza, jedwali jumping into the first ones waiting arms “Erik” she yelled
“Sis wewe act like wewe haven’t seen me in years when jus saw me this morning.” he laughed with this voice that struck a core it stuck a note in some long forgotten past.
He got Haeiley off of him and drag her behind him then saw me he stop for moment looking at me as if I were a ghost and not of flesh and bone he the look of enchantment in his eyes.
“Who’s this ?”
“Aurora she the daughter of the owner of the company that dad works for remember I told wewe that I was bring to lunch. wewe are such a dork I tell wewe something and it go’s in one ear and out the other.” She alisema as she pulled free of him and scurried back into her kiti, kiti cha on the other side of the table.
“Oh kwa the way this is Erik my brother , Greg he is the clown standing next’s to him”, Greg had dirty blond hair with green eyes he had tan kissed kwa the sun skin, “then there is Austin he is the football player”, Austin had short brown hair and hazel eyes with tan skin “Jeff” Jeff was shorter then the others with a brown bob and matching brown eyes “Jason” Jason dhahabu brown with dirt brown eyes .
Erik sat down next’s to me as his mother brought out all of there chakula the chakula ranging from pancakes, chicken sandwiches, and the so called Slaven hamburgers. As we began to eat Haeiley band started to pull out there guitars and Luke pulled out his drum sticks out and used the meza, jedwali as a set of drums as everyone begins to laugh and joke. Erik and his group started to jump around at one point Austin took Luke’s drum sticks and Luke chased him around the whole restaurant Luke fell over a chair that was in the middle of the walkway falling onto the floor. Then Austin ran back to the meza, jedwali landing right in Luke place.
The loud roar of the crowd around theme was very uncomfortable for me since mother death I haven’t been around that big a crowd au a loud one . The whole time I could not take my eyes off of Erik the way he laugh his jaw fell a little the way his eyes would light up when he thought someone was funny and darken when he thought something is serious au sad. I would catch him every now and then looking over at me with eyes almost as if they were going thought me in a line of the most unbelievable sense of feeling . Eyes that I just knew that I just meet. But in away I do not know but some how I knew him away that I did not know . It was a uneasy feeling not knowing what myself feel.
As the time came to a end me and Haeiley made our away to the car as we did all Haeiley did was smile. We got into the car and that is when it started .
“So what is going on with wewe and my brother?”
“I have no idea what wewe are talking about .”
“He wouldn’t take his eyes off wewe it like they were super glued and the same with you.”
“I do not know what to say it was like a magnet I tried to look away and I couldn’t take my eyes off him.”
“You two are weird that is what wewe are” she alisema as we pulled to the parking lot. And off to class we went my art class past fast.
The metal had not cut though my mother flesh that her blood was not stain of the road. It was my fault I had been the one that had been at the party I should not have.

You’re the reason why
I have to lie
Why I hurt so much
That my heart’s in a clutch
I’m slowly dying
‘Cause of your lying
wewe used to be my magic
But now you’re a dick
wewe made me long to be
Everything that wasn’t Lee
But look where that got me
Locked in without a key
If only wewe knew
That I plummeted deeper than blue
But then again
You’re just another two timing has been
wewe ran away
Thinking it’d be okay
But wewe were wrong
zaidi so than any upendo song
wewe made me want to sing
With wewe following
But look at how wrong I was
Believing wewe that it was just “buzz”
Now you’re the reason why
I cannot do anything but cry
I have to lie
Why I hurt so much
That my heart’s in a clutch
I’m slowly dying
‘Cause of your lying
wewe used to be my magic
