Knowing she should be helpful in the sense the Superiors had had in tasking her with her particular task, Ivara activated her ability. It only took a blink of her cream-orange eyes to switch on the Sight. The dark around her became illuminated in a collage of colors. The life force of the invading plant in a green glow, the fiery red of the male at her side, a hint of inanimate yellow where the aluminum walls still remained untouched combined to create the image of an artist’s paint pallet. The only negative was the steel grey haze in the air that alerted of a dark event that had taken place, so evil in intention its dark shadow remained.
The area surrounding the hole was a deep, pulsing indigo. It mingled with the edges of the hole, blending with the algae greens and inanimate lemon. The color then led from the damage, across the floor in a thick line laced with blood red. The trail ended in front of the punctured door.
She pointed to the hole, then swept a hand to the starting point of the magenta color to indicate the trail of damage. Blaze nodded as if he understand as much as he would have if she had spoken the words aloud. He turned his gaze to once corner of the room that Ivara had been trying to avoid since switching visions. The white wingu was almost blinding to look at, but it did nothing to obscure the remains it was signifying. The body was mangled and deteriorating. It was hard to imagine it as once human. But the Seer knew the body must belong to the security guard, though the aura spoke of nothing about whether he was the bomb master au not. There was only white, a pure innocent color. But it did not surprise her; everything was innocent in death.
Blaze swam closer to it, ignoring the girl as she reached out a hand to stop him. He showed no hesitation as his bright red cut through the grey toward the overpowering white. He was so close, she had to look away to keep from panicking.
A sudden BAM! broke the silence of the grave. Blaze was crossing the room before Ivara could fully comprehend the situation. She whirled to follow after, but paused as a spark of dhahabu caught her eye. She reached her hand beneath a chunk of rubble and retrieved the golden-hued object. In a rush, she stuffed it into the pocket of her suit, blinked her vision back to normal, and swam furiously to catch up to the fire-caster.
