Yes, I realize a couple of these characters don't fit into the current timeline, but they DO fit my plot pretty well.
P.S. I only own SilverWings (Aryess), Ruse (Jasper/Jazz), Blaze (Nic), and Thirteen (Alek). The others belong to DC and the magnificent others of this shabiki page.
P.S.S. Yeah, I probably screwed up the bat-brats. Included a few wrongs kids, descluded a few others. I apologize.
Proven part VIII
The boys met me at the foot of the stairs. While I had been gone, they had begun to mingle with the other guests, but admitted that nothing of interest had come up.
"The Key? wewe alisema wewe know were it is?" Alek alisema eagerly.
"Shhhhhh."
'Sorry,' Alek apologized mentally.
'Rookie,' Nic smirked.
'I know who has it,' I confirmed. 'Black mask with dhahabu trimming. Tall, heavy built, blonde hair.'
'That's it?' Nic said.
'It was dark,' I alisema defensively. 'And I was busy trying not to be seen kwa him au his partner.'
"Partner?" Jasper asked aloud.
"Yes, a woman. Dark hair, green dress, mid-twenties from what I could see."
"Oh," Nic said, as if he had had a revelation, "a woman. It all makes since." Jasper slapped him upside his head.
"Thank you," I said, ignoring Nic's glare as he rubbed his head. "Back to the mission. It may be difficult to find a man of such a limited description in such a large group of people, but if we mgawanyiko, baidisha up-"
"Found him," Alek said, jabbing a finger over his shoulder. Sure enough, the man from the hall was standing behind us, speaking with a group of men.
'How are we going to get the Key when he's surrounded kwa those men?' I asked.
'Leave it to me,' Jasper reassured. "Mr. Wayne," he called. Our group turned to see Bruce Wayne coming our way.
'What are wewe doing?' I asked.
'Trust me,' Jasper responded.
"Jasper Kenway," Wayne greeted. I put on a sweet smile as Jasper shifted his cane to his left hand and the two shook hands. "I hope wewe and your Marafiki are enjoying yourselves."
"Very much, sir," Jasper said, "I'd like wewe to meet my Marafiki Blake, Lucky, and Marci." He motioned to Nic, Alek, then myself, using a set if aliases we had used often before.
"It's nice to meet wewe all," Wayne said, the four teenagers I had noticed before came to stand inayofuata to him. "These are my girls Danna, Devin, and Kyra, and my son, Dick."
"Pleasure to meet wewe all," I said.
'Dick?' Alek said. Nic bit his lip to keep from laughing, and I silently groaned. I had hoped Nic wouldn't rub off on our rookie so soon.
"Master Wayne," the butler from the hall came to Wayne's side and whispered something in his ear. I averted my gaze, though I knew he was not looking at me.
"Excuse me," Wayne said. We all watched him go and I decided to ignore the glances the four Waynes exchanged, dismissing it as a sibling connection-thing.
"Well," Jasper said, seizing his opportunity, "would wewe ladies care for a dance?" He offered his hand to Kyra, who looked to her sisters for support. Realizing it was part of the plan, Alek offered his hand to Danna, and Nic held out his to Devin.
The girls all blushed in unison and accepted the boys' hands, who lead them to a clear area of the dance floor in front of the orchestra quartet.
Noticing the arrivals, surely coaxed kwa the fact that three were their employers daughters, the orchestra struck up a new tune.
I suddenly realized Dick was offering his own hand. "I'm not much of a dancer," I admitted.
"Follow my lead," he said. I accepted his hand and followed him to the others. Right on cue, the muziki began.
It was light and simple, and I was able to endure five dakika of shifting back an forth and occasionally twirling. Dick didn't seem to mind that I stepped on his feet three times, and he easily took lead. I assumed he had been to many of his father's dances.
A few times I caught my brothers and Dick's sisters dancing. Alek, a pure gentlemen, kelt his feet slow and steady, unlike Nic who insisted upon twirling Devin and even performing a dip, though she didn't seem to mind. Jasper wasn't doing to bad either, moving smoothy and occasionaly adding a quick-step to their display. Captured kwa the sweet rhythm, I was startled when the muziki ended and an applause broke from the crowd that had gathered in a ring to witness the four young couples' performance.
"Thank you," I alisema to Dick, "that was rather fun."
"It was my honor," he replied politely. I looked around and was surprised to see the ring of people was expanding as zaidi couples decided to jiunge us. The muziki began to start again.
"You mind if I have this dance?" Alek stood behind me.
"Of course," I replied, confused kwa the request. What had Jazz been thinking? We should have been on the mission, not completing the fairytale kwa dancing the night away! Dick nodded politely to me and joined Danna, who was watching us. Was she blushing?
The muziki played at a similar tempo to the last.
'Thirteen,' I thought, sticking to his codename. wewe could never be sure want other mind-benders were lurking in the crowd. 'We are on a mission. We need to find the Key.'
'Look to your left,' he nodded over his shouler.
I shifted my gave slightly, and saw the man from the hall dancing with a woman. 'How did you-'
'Ruse is a genius,' he alisema simply. 'We are at a party and a man keeping his cover would want to draw attention to himself to solidify his alibi.' I smiled slightly as we swayed back and forth. Espionage 101: to keep a cover, have others witness your actions and accept you. In this case, Mr.Bigshot at a ball equals dancing with a pretty girl.
'Ready?' Alek asked.
'For what?' I said, seeing a glint of mischief in his eye behind the mask. The muziki suddenly stepped up a beat and we quickened our pace, keeping even with the beat.
I watched from my perrifrial vision as Mr.Bigshot twirled his lady friend. Alek did the same with me. I understood the mimick and followed smoothly, allowing my nervousness to desintigrate. We kept perfect pace until the man dipped his dance partner. Alek did too, lowering me in his arms.
"Ready?" he alisema again, a quiet whisper only meant for me.
"Yes," I said. 'Not really,' I thought to myself, careful not to let the others here it.
In a single, fluid movement, Alek swung me up and twirled me outward. I spun a full circle, skillfully keeping my balance despite the heels, and stopped when Alek grasped my hand. I dropped my other hand so that it just brushed the man's koti, jacket pocket. He was too busy with his twirling girl to notice.
Alek brought me back neatly. I pressed my hands against his chest, feigning a slight dizziness, and slipped fingers lightly into his inside breast-pocket. We froze like that a moment as the muziki faded and the other pairs ceased as well. I smiled and headed to the side as another couple took our place.
Nick and Jasper stood with the Wayne children across the gap of dancers. Jasper rose an eye at me.
"Mission accomplished," Alek reported, feeling the weight of the heavy Key in his inside breast-pocket.
"Perhaps we should leave before it is missed," Jazz advised wisely.
As we made our way through the crowd, we did not notice the assassin lurking after us.
We didn't realize we were being watched.

Remember when I ilitumwa asking for 10 maoni in 2 hours? That's how I picked the lineup for this. I couldn't decide who to put into it, so that was my strategy.
A team is a whole, parts of differences, secrets, and love.
Of brothers and sisters, two wings on a single dove.
There's the new gal, a sweet little kitten,
A crazy fireball, the brightest spirit, always sizzlin'.
The sharp shooter, aiming straight,
The mysterious goddess, rising against fate.
A wise lass, green thumbs for knowledge,
A sisterly leader, keeping an order all must acknowledge.
And one with a broken heart, yet the biggest one.
All a team, all a family. One in the same. True for all that come.
Can wewe guess who is which?
P.S. 66Dragons helped with this!

Revenge stumbled away. The woman looked at the needle in her hand. The blood within was mixed with a strange brown mixture. Revenge gripped his arm and glared at the woman.
"A simple test will tell me who is beneath the mask, Red Revenge. And your secret will belong to me."
"Not likely." Revenge growled.
"Oh, but that's not all it does." she continued. "It poisons the blood stream. Corrupts the DNA within cells and eventually kills them."
"Nerve gas."
"In a liquid form, yes Red Revenge."

How did I survive?
It was peaceful
Then they came
They took all ‘smart’ and ‘intelligent’ ones
They burned our houses
They burned our city
They burned our people
They almost burned me
She almost burned me
I will never forget her face
Long hair
Blue eyes filled with fire
Angry...
So angry...
She held moto in her hand
It didn't hurt her
The moto just danced in her hand
She looked at me
Then my parents
Then me
She burned my parents
I ran
It was hot
So much fire
So much burning
I ran
I hid
I dissapered
Now I am here
I am Rostlina
And I am going to kill the moto casters.

The car raced to the Mountains. Zinc had no idea where his 'Father' was taking him.
"Dad, where are we going?"
"Away, to keep wewe safe. wewe don't belong here" Replied the Death Spirit.
"What!? what about my twin Zoe, why aren't wewe taking her to be safe?!"
"She already is. In the eyes of the Spirits."
A wingu of thunder formed right behind the mountains. Echoing throughout the mountain air.
The Death Spirit made a left hand turn into a field of grass.
"Gnome. You'll be salama there". alisema the Death Spirit.
Blackness filled Zincs eyes, as he fell into a trance.
The Death Spirit had taken Zinc to a far away universe. He was held in a town called Gnome. No way there, no way out. Only kwa plane.
