I LOVED the movie and can't wait for the sekunde book!!!

And tomorrow would the L.A premiere and god,Jake has got to attend this time and he lives in there, otherwise this will make me mad since he has not showed up any of the promotions:(

I know you would think becuz his character has such an importance in the film and book he would be promoting with Alex, Dianna and Callan instead of Teresa (Number Six whose barely in the book!!). I was thrilled when I read this, it just goes to show they definately picked the right cast for these parts!!! I saw another clip and it looked to be the house party scene when they go to Mark's house but its redone. Looks like no fire happens but something else instead that will cause Sarah and Mark to discover the truth about John!! I'm sooooooooo edging to see this movie now, can't wait!!!!

I am not happy about that change since I saw that short clip. Yeah, it doesn't seem there is a fire scene invovled at Mark's party, instead, the police just come in and check the kids are not getting high or something and Sarah's fall is not caused by the fire.

It sucks to me because that fire scene at Mark's party is really the turning point of their friendship that they both have reaizations to each other in the middle of the book that will build up their brotherly friendship to the end. They can't become good friends over night, not to mention they were enemies in the beginning.

from Jake's interview and our guesses, we know Mark will discover the truth about John when he meets mogs. For me there is a missing piece between them without that fire scene. Just because Mark finds out John is a good guy because the mogs are really bad, it doesn't make John and Mark can become good friends. I have a picture about those changes in my head and it is not logic to me, it is like: Mark confronts and asks John:"Who are you exactly and I think you are a good guy because last night the mogs almost killed me." And John tells him the truth and then they become good friends???

You seem pretty positive about the changes between John and Mark's scenes and it is perhaps just me feeling not right about this. What do you think about all this?

I think we need to wait and see how this all plays out but I do agree that fire scene was a crucual turning point for these two as it made them look at each other a different way. Also in that scene it looks like John just crashes Mark's party when in the book he invited him along with Sarah and Sam demonstrating that he wanted to reach out in peace. From what these reviews are telling us the cast ans crew stayed pretty faithful to the book with minor changes but certain things to me do not need to be changed. No you do realize Jake wasn't allowed to give everything away, maybe there will be a fire, maybe he meets the mogs after the incident at his house. And if you've seen this other clip they did a scene where John sees himself doing something on youtube and then argues with Henri about it after, I doubt him jumping off a roof to save Sarah was youtube worthy there has to be more to this. Again I won't have an opinion until I see the film but the Mark/John relationship is just as important to me as the John/Sarah relationship, only hope they got it right or at least did it in a way that makes you feel for these characters. Mark & John can't become friends over night, its a layered process how else are they gonna do that emotional good-bye scene??? No before we get ahead of our selfves lets remember the positives we've read about this movie so far. I know it'll be good, just have to see how they handled things:)

Also think back to that emotional photo of Mark sitting alone all lost and sad while John and Sam pulled up in their truck, aren't you curious to see what that scene is about?? Why would Mark look all depressed if he was just attacked by mogs? He wouldn't be depressed he'd be scared as hell!!

Yeah you were right, Mark looks really sad and lost soul or something in that photo and must be more than just attacked by mogs:D

BTW, good news and I just got updated information from tumblr.com. It says:" Jake Abel and Allie Wood going to the I am number four premiere?" Just like what I wondered before there is no way Jake won't attend L.A premiere of IANF at least, considering he lives there:D
