No, Stephen Amell won’t grow a Green Arrow goatee, so don’t ask 

Though Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) will be donning a new green costume in Season 4 of “Arrow,” don’t expect him to grow the goatee commonly associated with Green Arrow in the comics.

After seeing speculation that he may grow out his facial hair on the series, Amell quickly shut down any possibility of that happening. “100% no. Never. Our show could go 14 seasons and a goatee will never appear,” he tweets. “Hope that clears things up. Forever.”

Though Amell isn’t planning to grow out a goatee for the new season, he is embracing his Green Arrow identity. His character’s vigilante alter ego has been known as the Arrow since Season 1 of The CW series, but at San Diego Comic-Con he walked out in his Season 4 costume and said Oliver Queen is now the Green Arrow.
