Rap Monster talks about what differentiates BTS from other K-pop groups in TIME interview

Rap Monster of BTS talked about the group\'s immense fandom, International success, music, and more with

TIME magazine, who recently selected BTS as one of \'The 25 Most Influential People on the Internet

\', had an interview with Rap Monster. The idol rapper was asked various questions from how the group came together to their next goals. One question asked how BTS is different from other big K-pop groups.

"I can\'t speak for other artists; every group has a different approach. For us, it will always be important to keep working hard, dancing better, writing better songs, touring and setting an example. A lot of people say this, but it\'s really true for us: we are living a dream, all seven of us, being able to pursue what we love. We strive to [put] everything into our music. Our lyrics deal with real issues that face all humans: choices in life, depression, self-esteem. And the fans know that we are there for them, and they are there for us."

He also talked about communicating with millions of followers on social media. On building such a massive online fanbase, Rap Monster commented, "It\'s not easy to run a social media account over a long period of time, but we love communicating with our fans every day and night."

Next, Rap Monster shared how having huge fandom impact their approach to music. He said, "BTS fans — the "ARMY" — tell us about their feelings, failures, passions and struggles all the time...... So our fans inspire us and give us a direction to go as musicians. And of course, their love and support keeps us going."

Lastly, Rap Monster revealed that BTS \'\'definitely continue to have big dreams." 

I have so much respect for BTS, not coming from a big agency but acheiving and having an international fanbase, its pretty dope.

That is actually true. V is a decent singer. Jungkook is meh and Jimin is really not good. They lack the technique and even fans admit it. But that has nothing to do with the topic here so OP\'s being rude. Their vocals may lack the technique but overall they\'re an amazing group you have to admit that OP. Especially the rap line is the strongest I dare to say. Edit: Plus it\'s not the only group, there are many other groups with bad main vocals.

It is true... in your opinion. Whether or not they are bad singers is purely subjective.

No. Technique is not subjective. The voice is. You may love their voice and their way of singing. But that doesn\'t change the fact that some of them lack the technique. And that\'s totally normal. Please don\'t be delusional. I also love them, but I know they\'re not the perfect group (nobody\'s perfect). I love them the way they are.

Not a fan of their music but them as idols. How to describe it? I really like how they are on stage, on shows, and how smart rapmon answering every question. I like silly V and jhope, jimin\'s dance, suga\'s rap. Like how jungkook wont stop dancing to his fave singers. And jin who thinks he\'s the most handsome guy in earth lmao. I like them as idols. But not so into their music. Well, then im not an army i guess. But look at this answers, rapmon kills it!!!
