Critical Analysis of Twilight Swali

What do wewe think of 'Twimoms'?

I know a lot of people have problems with the Twilight Series.

e.g: Bella's relationship with Edward, a few of the characters' personalities, Stephenie Meyer's uandishi skills

Why do wewe think some mothers approve of kusoma Twilight? Even some of them go link for it.
What do wewe think of 'Twimoms'?

i think of twilight moms as sick i mean its sooooooooooooooo sick for a mother to be sooo obssessed with a fictional character nad then let her daughhter be too i mean how can she do that its like her daughter would be dreaming about edward he r mom would come a nd tell her not to coz he is hers they are totally sick!!!!!!

Wait...are we talking about the moms who are insane for Twilight au all moms who are mashabiki of Twilight? Now I'm a bit confused, I think I received the wrong idea...

^ Sorry, I should have been zaidi specific. I meant those Twimoms who are really mad/passionate about it. Those who force/'encourage' their kids to read it.

Critical Analysis of Twilight  jibu bora zaidi

Mermaid-Tail said:
I think it's insanity to be honest.
My main issue with Twilight is aiming it at a young audience meant readers weren't always mature enough to read it without being influenced, so you'd think older mashabiki would be ok with me, but not in this case, as I think there's a difference between Twilight mashabiki who are moms and 'Twimoms'. Twimoms reach the same level of obsession as the young fans, so it's even zaidi disturbing to me, because it makes them seem emotionally underdeveloped. They onyesha behaviour they should have long grown out of, often with very little dignity. Their obsession is also a bad influence to young fans, because seeing grown ups onyesha the same 'twi-hard' bad behaviour as them tells them it's a fine way to act. Also, it sends the message that things like the abusive relationship in the vitabu is ok/healthy because young mashabiki can say 'it's not just an adolescent fantasy...my mom thinks that's a great upendo too!'. Young mashabiki seeing older zaidi 'mature' women also swooning over that type of relationship behaviour validates it.

Also, let's look at the obvious. They are too old for Twilight obsessing. It's a juvenile tween book. It's one thing to enjoy something a little childish when wewe grow out of it's intended age group (I still like Disney movies) but there's a big difference between enjoying and obsessing, and to obsess over a tween fad at that age is insane. To me, an older woman who reaches the level of obsession needed to be classed as a Twi-mom needs immediate medical attention. I honestly believe they need therapy.
I don't mean this about any older person who likes the series, just the ones obsessed enough to be called 'Twi-moms'

As for mothers who approve of the books, that's a personal issue I guess. If I had kids I wouldn't be ok with them kusoma Twilight au aspiring to be like Bella, but if a parent has made themself familiar with it, and is either ok with it au feels their child will not be influenced, while I disagree and personally don't understand someone wanting their kids sent those messages it's not really my place to judge. I'd just hope they'd raised their kids well enough to read it without being influenced. If they have it's not an issue, and if they haven't then their problems go beyond Twilight.

I really get what your saying. I watched an interview with a Twi-Mom and I just felt embarassed for her. Her children looked horrified. Even her daughters. Their too old for obsessing, like wewe said, it's a tween book. Honestly...

I was linked to a disturbing discussion on the twilight moms foramu once. A mother was posting this rant about how she was so angry and devastated and "heart-broken" upon discovering that her daughter didn't like twilight. She was uigizaji like there was something wrong with her and was basically asking the other moms how to fix her daughter. She even alisema she was going to take away her daughter's internet access in order to prevent her from visiting anti-twilight sites.

This is just an example of how when wewe isolate a group of slightly unhinged people in their own community, they catalyze each others' craziness until they become a mob of raving lunatics self-perpetuating their own mass delusions.

That is so sad! That mom is complaining how her daughter doesn't appreciate "fine literature", while her daughter is quoting George Orwell! I feel so bad for that girl... :-(

Then your mom is a normal, sane, Twilight fan, not a Twilight mom ;) You're lucky wewe can share Twilight with her

Yeah, that's how my mom is too. She has read the vitabu once, and she takes me to see the movies. That's all. I couldn't deal if my mom was a Twilight mom.

My mom wanted to see the movie because she thought it would be a good vampire movie; it had nothing to do with the whole Edward thing (she didn't like the movie, kwa the way).

Well, I'm going to admit that I disagree with some people here (the ones who are being offensive).

Not all parents who like Twilight are fanatics of the series. They may like the vitabu as any other sane person would. I know a grandmother who liked the Twilight series, and to me she seems like any other strong, normal woman who raised her children to be good, sociable, well-liked adults.

Why should someone's liking au disliking a series affect their parenting skills?

I'm not trying to be harsh au offensive. This just simply puzzles me.

I highly doubt someone's opinion on a book series turns them into a bad mom.

I agree, except when they get all upset because their daughter doesn't like Twilight and thinks Edward's a stalker. The link's up there somewhere ^ :)

I wasn't refering to all mothers that like twilight, just the particular online community which encourages mothers that literally obessessing over Twilight and a 17 mwaka old boy is not a bad thing.

I think it's sick, disgusting, and those women need to get a life! I mean really, I can understand wanting to see the movie au even read the book because of a good vampire story (which is something I don't think Twilight is, but I'm just saying), but being OBSESSED with it is ridiculous! These women are obviously drawn to what the whole book's about: romantic Edward and/or Jacob. It's disgusting! These characters that they're drooling over could be their own kids! And not only that: aren't these women supposed to be married...? There are plenty of vampire romance ADULT vitabu out there! Twilight is directed to teens looking to fall in upendo with some fictional character-THERE OWN AGE! Twilight Moms: HAVE SOME SENSE, GROW UP, AND GET A LIFE!!!
