As we all know, the Disney Princesses are all blessed with amazing voices. But of these voices, who do I like best? I thought I'd share with wewe the answer!

13. Merida

Er, she doesn't sing. Right.

12. Belle

Her voice has its lovely patches, but something about how it titters on the high notes annoys me. Her voice also isn't very distinguishable, which lands it at 12.

11. Cinderella

Ah, I upendo Cindy's voice! It's so relaxing, and, and, *snore*. Whoa, sorry! Anyway, cinderella has a dreamy and romantic voice, but there's just not much opportunity for her to onyesha it off in the course of the film. So dreamy, yet so unremarkable.

10. Jasmine

Her voice has one very big problem, it sounds like Rapunzel's. The worst part in that is that jimmy, hunitumia is nothing like Rapunzel! Jasmine's voice should be deeper and stronger. It should be sultry and powerful, just like Jasmine! No matter how beautiful Lea Salonga's pipes are, the fact is that they don't suit the character she's portraying.

9. Rapunzel

Her voice suits her impeccably, and she nails her high notes with the delicate quiver I so love, but why is she down so low? And that's because once again, her voice isn't very unique. Fitting, but sort of run of the mill.

8. Anna

Kirsten Bell, wewe shine yet again! Glina's, I mean Bell's, voice shines with the playfulness of Anna. She also hits high notes flawlessly and often. The only reason I have for putting her at 8 is that the other voices are zaidi unique.

7. Aurora

It physically hurts me to put Aurora this low. It really does. Mary Costa's voice has dignity, force, grace, beauty, basically, it's perfect! Some may say it doesn't sound like a 16 mwaka old, but they're not taking into fact that this 16 mwaka old was blessed with the gift of song. So it only makes sense that her voice sounds like it does.

6. Snow White

WHAT? SNOW WHITE ISN'T LAST PLACE? Yeah yeah, I actually like Snow White's voice. I upendo sopranos, so much that I've continually prayed to every god I know of for the soprano range. Snow White's voice suits her, and it's adorable and clear and wipes out those high notes like nobody's buisness.

5. Tiana

Not only is Tiana's voice fitting, but it's smooth and jazzy and sultry and above all, powerful. Last note of Almost There, anybody? Power!

4. Mulan

Yes, yes, I did rate Mulan way higher than jimmy, hunitumia even though they have the same imba voice. Sue me. This rating is not because of my bias towards Mulan, it is because of Salonga's performance as Mulan. Jasmine's voice didn't suit her, but Mulan's brings us to our knees with the flawlessness and emotion. Lea Salonga is truly amazing (check out her performances as Eponine and Fantine in Les Miserables!).

3. Ariel

If only her speaking voice sounds as mature and regal as her imba voice does (even though they're both Jodi Benson). Ariel's voice is captivating, powerful, and unique. The audience is entranced kwa Ariel's voice alone, without the help of Ursula.

2. Elsa

Ah, the most unique of them all. Elsa's voice is like some unpolished diamond. Rough around the edges, but beautiful underneath. Idina Menzel (Wicked anybody?) worked wonders as Elphaba, commanding the sheer power and raw emotion that only she could.

1. Pocahontas

Judy Kuhn (Les Miserables' Cosette) poured forth an immense tide of emotion as Pocahontas. Like her personality, Poca's voice is mature and emotional, sending shivers down an audience's spine to this day. Poca's voice has range, and above all, unprecedented beauty.

mmmm...I guess the one thing I like about her is that she really knows how to take care of herself out there. -Swanpride

She does one unique thing for a Disney princess: she is called out on her selfishness and mistakes kwa the narrative, owns them, AND works to fix the problem. She realizes her mom has a point as much as Merida herself does and learns to appreciate her. Also, she learns true bravery- not shooting arrows, swinging a sword, au climbing waterfalls, but admitting wewe caused harm. That's never easy. Merida avoids some of the outdated tomboy princess tropes kwa doing all this, but...

1. Congrats on winning shabiki of the Month! How does it feel?
Thank you! It feels really amazing. I actually was shabiki of the mwezi once, back in the old fanpop days when the shabiki of the mwezi was still fairly new. Although, back then, once wewe won once, wewe couldn't be nominated ever again, so I actually never thought I would get to be shabiki of the mwezi again, which makes it all the zaidi of an honor for me.

2. We know wewe upendo Moana and Ariel, do wewe have any other inayopendelewa princesses?
If wewe mean of the official Disney Princesses, I'd say Mulan, Pocahontas, and Tiana are the ones I'm absolutely in...

I upendo that despite how she grew up she's always optimistic and sweet, I upendo her passion for painting and her art style, and I upendo her imba voice -BB2010

I upendo Rapunzel's intelligence, creativity, and curiosity. She charted stars and never gave up on her dreams to see the floating lanterns. She is also very honest, kind, and optimistic, which I love. She sees the good in others and doesn't give up on anyone that she loves. -sunnyfields

I upendo her enthusiasm! But I especially upendo how she overcomes years of psychological abuse. She has so much inner strenght. -Swanpride

In 2013 Frozen took the world kwa (ice) storm, it was everywhere. Let it Go played on the radio constantly, wewe couldn't go to a store without seeing Frozen merch, everyone was talking about it, many thought it was one of Disney's best sinema in a long time.

Then the backlash began...

People got sick of all the Frozen after a while, even now there's still Frozen all over the place and people tend to roll their eyes when someone even mentions Frozen. The thing is, nothing about the movie au characters had changed, it was still a good movie with a decent soundtrack, interesting characters, and...

On the fourth siku of Princess
Walt Disney gave to me,

four braiding girls
three fairy spells
two lucky pals
and the wisdom of an old tree.

As difficult as my pick for march was, as easy was the one for April. After all, the most obvious holiday to feature is Easter, and there is only one princess which came back from the death. The most difficult part for this one was to decide which siku to mark...the friday, the sunday, the monday au all of them. I felt that "all of them" would be going a little bit overboard, so I finally went for the monday. I hope that is okay with you.

And naturally I...

Okay so this is really late and I'm putting it up kinda late in the night, on Thanksgiving, no less. But I finally rewatched Brave tonight! I got a subscription to Disney+ at the start of this mwezi and I finally set up my account on my mom's tv (if I'm going to leech off her Netflix and Hulu, she can at least be able to use my Disney+) and my niece put on Brave, one of her inayopendelewa movies, and we all sat down and watched it together :)

Today's rewatch: Brave
Last time watched: August 2017

How much did I like this movie when it came out?
So when this movie was advertised I was excited to watch...

Thank wewe to everyone who participated in Princess of the Month! For November we celebrated Belle, so here's an makala on why we adore her:

Belle is my inayopendelewa princess, so I could wax eloquent concerning all the things I adore about her. In the interest of space, though, here is one thing I particularly upendo about her: her sense of self-worth. I don't feel like this is often talked about, but it's really inspiring to see her embrace her interests even in the face of constant ostracization from the townspeople. Everyone thinks she's weird and whispers behind her back, but despite this she...
