Third makala in three days? I have a life..heh...heh..ANYWAYS, I've heard multiple times people calling Elsa complex, but they usually don't give an argument to back that up, so I decided to write this! I've also heard a lot of complaints from Frozen haters asking how Elsa is so complex, so I'm uandishi this for that as well. Anyway let's get started! I hope wewe enjoy! :)
Characteristics of a Complex Character (gotten online):
1. He au she undergoes an important change as the plot unfolds.
2. The changes he au she experiences occur because of his au her actions au experiences in the story.
3. Changes in the character may be good au bad.
4. The character is highly developed and complex, meaning they have a variety of traits and different sides to their personality.
5. Some of their character traits may create conflict in the character.
6. He au she displays strengths, weaknesses, and a full range of emotions.
7. He au she has significant interactions with other characters.
8. He au she advances the plot au develops a major theme in the text.
Undergoes an Important Change as the Plot Unfolds
It's undeniable that Elsa goes through character development. At the beginning of the movie, she's such a scared, distant character. She doesn't accept who she is and keeps herself in isolation because of it. As the movie progresses, she has some bumps in the rode, but kwa the end she's a new person, but in a realistic way. She finally accepts herself and her powers and is a zaidi open person.
Change Occurs Because of His/Her Actions au Experiences
Elsa's character development from distant and withdrawn to accepting and open occurs mostly from Anna's actions, but Elsa's play a role as well. If Elsa would've never frozen Anna's heart, she would've never hugged Anna and figured out that upendo was all she needed.
Changes in the Character Can Be Good au Bad
Although Elsa's main change is at the end of the movie, she also goes through a change earlier on. She changes in Let it Go, and then she also changed in the scene afterwards, when she's once again afraid of her powers. That change is for the worse, since she goes back on her word and starts to fear herself again. I think her change from accepting to not accepting is realistic, since it's impossible to do a complete 360 shift after just one song.
Variety of Traits and Different Sides
We can see that Elsa is mature, yet playful too, well-spoken and can keep a level head, yet can lose that level head too and get scared and nervous. Elsa also has a tough times facing her problems head on. She often runs away from them instead of seeking a solution. She's also very selfless, yet can be unintentionally selfish. She's quite elegant too, but can let her hair down and have a good time. She is also very sweet, but can get borderline aggressive when pushed.
Character Traits Create Conflict
Well, Elsa undeniably creates conflict. Her running away from her problems due to her lack of experience in dealing with things. Also, her aggression definitely creates conflict, since she nearly kills two men!
Displays Strengths, Weaknesses, and a Full Range of Emotions
In the movie, we see Elsa joyful, reserved, "letting it go", sad, scared, angry. We basically see every emotion possible on Elsa's face. We also undeniably see her strengths and weaknesses. We see how creative she is through building her ice sculpture, how she's well spoken and respected, but also we see the weaknesses that haunt Elsa in her everyday life. Her sadness, her fear.
Significant Interactions With Other Characters
Well, we see her with Anna, multiple times, with Hans, with the towns people (how she reacted when she was trying to escape, it was clear she doesn't like large crowds), the Duke (revealing that she doesn't like dancing), Olaf, her parents, and a bit of Kristoff, so I'd definitely say this is a "check".
Develops A Theme
Elsa is the main driver of one of the main themes of Frozen, accepting yourself for who wewe are. Elsa shows that wewe can go from hating who wewe are, being scared of yourself, sad with yourself, to becoming a new person. A happier person, a zaidi content person. All and all, Elsa is definitely an amazing character, and definitely deserves the title of a "complex character".

Ariel and Belle are the most beloved and maarufu Disney princesses in Fanpop. To tell the truth, Belle has slightly zaidi fans. She is pretty, sure, but beautiful? Not likely. She has brown hair and hazel eyes (that's a charmer) but to me it looks quite plain. And she's pretty but she's TOTALLY ANAWARE OF IT? Really? Like she didn't see it when she looked in that mirror?
But Ariel was completely aware of it. She tried to be good-looking in front of her dream boy. Red hair and blue eyes are a lot prettier than brown hair and hazel eyes to me.
Belle reads (which is why people like her) and seeks for adventure, while Ariel fights for what she wants to get it. Sure, Belle does think of others first and Ariel is a bit selfish, but Belle also is TOO perfect. Nobody's perfect. At least Ariel made mistakes and we can relate to her.
So as wewe can see, this is why I prefer Ariel a lot zaidi than Belle.

Since I am trying to make the Princess Of The mwezi zaidi popular, this is another one of my ideas. In the end of each mwezi I'll post articles, based on the countdowns for songs, hairstyles and outfits. There everybody will have the chance to discuss whether they agree with the results, what corresponded to their expectations, and what they wish would have been different!
I was recently informed that the problem with the pictures in the makala is gone, and now the pictures can be put inside the text. However, I'm going to continue using mainly pictures for my articles, because first of all, that's what I've been doing for the rest of the makala from these series, and second, I like this way of doing articles! So maybe at some point I will switch back to the explanatory and sophisticated words articles, but for the time being I will stick to my picture articles!
Here are the results of the POTM Outfits Countdown: ~*Pocahontas*~ (May 2013)! Enjoy and share your opinion!
