Bonjour! In my last makala I defended both cinderella and Snow White. Now I'm going to defend Aurora and Ariel.

Aurora -

Most people either have a upendo au hate relationship with Aurora. I upendo her, but she's not my favourite. Everyone complains that she has an underdeveloped personality and she does nothing, but most of all, people are frustrated about the fact that her eyes change colour.
In contrast, I don't believe she has an underdeveloped personality at all. Out of all the Disney Princesses, she has the least screen-time, (I think it was eighteen dakika au something) and I think Disney did a pretty good job in developing her character in eighteen minutes. What do we know? She's Marafiki with a lot of wanyama and they help her, she's kind to everybody, humble, surprised that she gets such a lovely birthday present, somewhat cautious of strangers, a day-dreamer, a good dancer and singer, graceful and charming and shy. She also hates the fact that she's suddenly a princess, and wouldn't wewe be too if wewe spent sixteen years believing wewe were this carefree peasant girl who picked berries and had all the freedom in the world?
I don't think she's underdeveloped.
An issue is that she does nothing. When she is told she is a Princess, she cries, settles down a bit, goes to the ngome and stupidly pricks her finger. As for the going to the ngome bit, most people believe that is dutiful. She is being obedient. She is the Princess and she must help her country. It's the Princesses job. A lot of people believe that she is naive and stupid when she pricks her finger. Um, wake-up call? It was a curse. She didn't do it just because she felt like it. It was meant to happen. And judging kwa the eerie expression on her face as she walked up the stairs slowly, I think she was hypnotised. Plus there was a scary voice going: "Touch the spindle! Touch it, I say!"
Hypnotised.
I, along with many others, hate the fact that her eyes change colour. One of the biggest maswali asked in Disney history is "what colour are Aurora's eyes officially?" In the close-up where she wakes up, her eyes are blue. (She looks beautiful in that scene). But in merchandise and sometimes in other parts of the movie, her eyes are violet. I think officially, her eyes are violet coloured.
I know, it's confusing.
But overall, she's beautiful, kind, gentle, graceful and dutiful. Underdeveloped? I think not.

Ariel -

I'm one of the many people who upendo Ariel. I upendo her hair, I upendo the fact that she's a mermaid. I upendo everything about her and she was my favourite when I was a kid. (My favourites now are Belle and Elsa, with Ariel coming in second). But people have a lot to complain about her. Sure she's independent and admirably adventurous, but a lot of people believe she is naive, stupid, inconsiderate and careless.
OK, so yes, she did drastically change her body and leave her family while still a teenager. She made a deal with the sea-witch. But all of this wasn't to get a man. Well, not just to get a man. It was zaidi about her happiness. The reason she changed herself was because she wanted a life on land. She wasn't happy where she was and decided to do something about it. Don't believe me? Listen to the song "Part of Your World." She wants to be where the people are. It's not just about Eric.
I don't understand people sometimes as they roar about cinderella and Snow White not doing anything, but when Ariel does something to achieve her dreams, they scream at her as well. Why???
Granted, she still wanted Eric. She was naive on the "kiss him before the sun sets on the third day" part. She didn't know anything about love. But who's to blame her, really? Eric is a dreamboat. (Please excuse the pun). I believe Eric was zaidi of a trigger, for Ariel to do something about her happiness.
Ariel was a Disney Princess who went out of her way to achieve her goals. In my eyes, the only flaw about her was that she wanted to become human. Why? All my life I've wanted to become a mermaid.

So that's it. There's my rant about Ariel and Aurora. inayofuata time I'll be talking about Belle and Jasmine, but if wewe haven't already, check out my other makala that defends Snow White and Cinderella.
Au revoir!
She's beautiful, calm, gentle, graceful, humble, dutiful and a day-dreamer and people still say she's underdeveloped.
She's beautiful, calm, gentle, graceful, humble, dutiful and a day-dreamer and people still say she's underdeveloped.
She wants to be human. It's not only about Eric. He's zaidi of a trigger.
She wants to be human. It's not only about Eric. He's more of a trigger.
The mashabiki have voted, and princesslullaby won kwa a landslide! Here is our first interview with one of the many great mashabiki on this spot.

1. Congrats on being the first ever Disney Princess shabiki of the Month! How do wewe feel?
Really flattered and honored! It's nice to know my hard work on this site is being appreciated. ;)

2. Who are your juu 3 princesses, and why?
Oh god....well, at the moment they're Ariel, Belle, and Pocahontas, but I haven't really watched some of the sinema in a while so it's tentative. But Ariel will always be number one!

3. Name your favorite:

In the 90s, Disney was going for something different in their leading ladies. They wanted heroines who were COMPLEX, women who were INTERESTING, and they were determined to give (most of) the princesses realistic, believable, and unashamed flaws. These princesses were supposed to be relatable and a lady a normal girl could identify with. Perhaps this is why these princesses are generally preferred to the classics. These princesses had obvious dimensions to their personalities, and all were made to seem like a girl wewe could run in to on the street.

The Disney Renaissance, one if the most successful times for WDAS from the late 80s to the late 90s (or to some people, the mid 90s).
 (1989-1999)
(1989-1999)

 (1989-1994)
(1989-1994)

This era is known for its amazing musicals, juu notch hand drawn uhuishaji using the computer, many awards, and great critical and financial success (most of them), and the movie that is known to start this fantastic era is The Little Mermaid, which I think gets too much credit for starting the Renaissance, and I know many will disagree, but hear me out.

The Disney Renaissance was the time where a lot of money was made, which...

This is the first countdown that I have successfully completed in months, and this was an interesting concept. Thanks to everyone who participated in the countdown. Some films will age forever (or for hundreds of years), while some will die out in a decade.

Timeless:1. unaffected au unchanged kwa time; ageless
2. eternal

11. Aladdin

This one was the obvious first choice, and to be honest, is the only film that is not timeless out of the bunch. This film was praised especially for the utamanduni wa pop references coming from Genie but 20 years later, it is working to it's disadvantage. A lot of the...

Mandarin Oriental Hotel and the twin tower.
After all of the princesses and Dee Dee are enjoying their lunch at a Nyonya Restaurant, suddenly everything goes black and they become scared. " What was that?" asked Merida, trying not to sound scared. Then, a black, giant smoke appears in the middle and it forms into a black reaper-like figure.
"So wewe have arrive in Malaysia now, I'll curse the whole of the country into darkness and despair with the help of my friend, Jafar!" It lets out an evil laughter and disappears, then everything goes back to normal.
"Who was that?" asks Dee Dee, "that is the spirit of despair!" replied Cinderella,...

I just wanted to write a orodha but I remembered that I have already write one with the Prettiest Female Heroines in the Childhood Animated Movie Heroines club (the link is at the comments). I didn't want to write the same things about the same princesses, so I'll mention only the princesses that I don't think they are so beautiful. Let's begin.

Anna
Placement in my Prettiest Disney Princess List: 13th

Sorry Anna! I just don't find her so pretty. I don't like her nose and her lips are too thin. I like her eyes, their color is amazing, but sometimes they look kinda odd, like they're too close...

Here's my countdown of my inayopendelewa princesses!

My decisions aren't set in stone- they change every other week! So, this isn't permanent- except for the lucky princess who aliiba first place! ;)

"I like that Tiana brings in variation to the line up."
"I like that Tiana brings in variation to the line up."

10. Tiana
I like that Tiana brings in variation to the line up. I upendo her- she has a strong determination, she's smart and she does have a little humour in her. Her loyalty to her father is so sweet, she never gives up on her father's dream :') The movie just goes downhill for me when she turns into a frog, it goes downhill- she loses...

Fun fact: My inayopendelewa dress of Tiana's is her machungwa, chungwa one!
Fun fact: My favorite dress of Tiana's is her orange one!
So, about three months zamani I made an makala talking about why I upendo Aurora, and thought I should do an makala for another underrated princess, Tiana. I also plan on doing an makala for Snow, Punz, Poca, Mulan, and possibly some others.

While Tiana has gained a giant boost in popularity recently, in both looks and favorites, she is still very underrated. Tiana is probably one of the most unique princesses and definitely one of the most inspirational. I look up to Tiana, because unlike Mulan, I'm not going to be fighting in a war, and Tiana shows us a slice of reality. She's just a normal...

So I did a countdown of who would be most likely to survive in the abusive type of households Snow White and cinderella had lived in. I must say I'm disappointed zaidi people didn't participate (well, at least 28 people VOTED every round, yet there was usually no zaidi than 7 maoni per poll). I would have loved to see zaidi people's input because the whole reason I did this countdown is because I am so sick of people uigizaji like Snow and Cinderella's situations were not all that bad, like they could have just left easily. Anyway, here are the results:

9. Jasmine. Well, to nobody's surprise,...

I know that this is common on this site, but I feel like my Disney Princess ranking is a must. Merida, Anna and Elsa are included, and I don't usually see them being include in these.
To make things clear, there are times where I like every Disney princess. I dislike one, am okay with two, really like four, and absolutely adore six.
I try to balance out my descriptions. I tried to talk about the characters' good qualities because I just hate it when wewe read rankings that just sound like complaints, but I had to address their flaws as well so that readers could understand my reasoning.
This...

I saw sweetie-94 recently do this and thought it looked fun, so I decided to make an makala like this as well. I fully intended to have this be ranked, but it was way too hard, so I just opted out to chronological order. So, yeah let's get started!

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: One Song

I upendo this song a lot! Snow White's Prince has the best voices of all the princes, and the entire scene is very romantic and heart-felt. I upendo how Snow is all bashful and trying to look good for the prince, and the little kiss they do with the bird at the end.

Cinderella: So This Is upendo

What is the most thing about a Disney movie? If wewe answer opening your right if wewe answer ducks...well maybe inayofuata time. All openings from Snow White to Frozen

12: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
I upendo story book openings and I upendo reading...but I don't like having to read the movie...it's a little slow to the get go and well my family hates it when someone reads out loud...so it doesn't work for me. Also it takes to long to get to One Song...so I dislike it.

11: Pocahontas
I upendo Pocahontas it's my fourth inayopendelewa movie...but the beginning is also a little slow...besides my sexy men's voices...

So as the title states, I recently started a countdown to see what fanpop thinks is the Best DP Ending, and to be honest, I am shocked that some made it as far as it did and etc. For the countdown, I practically considered everything that happened right after the Villain's passing au defeat.

11. Tangled Ending (Rapunzel reunites with parents, Corona have a jam, jamu in the kingdom)

Practically, the ujumla, jumla consensus of this ending was that Flynn's dialogue of him getting drunk and them waiting YEARS AND MONTHS and such ruined it. They also thought that the flying cupid and such ruined the ending...
