Here's the makala for Pocahontas!

I know in the past I've made maoni about how I don't like this movie because it's been alisema that the tale of Pocahontas saving John was a lie and I've also alisema I can't stand Pocahontas and John together because it's gross Pocahontas was aged up for this movie. However I will watch this movie and just enjoy it without thinking about those things.

kwa now wewe should all know what I write about in these makala so I'll just go ahead and start!

Tonight's rewatch: Pocahontas
Last time watched: Summer of 2011

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
Okay I didn't upendo it but I didn't hate it. This was a movie I loved to watch as a kid but at some point in the movie I would lose interest. Every time it was always after Colors of the Wind ends that I don't pay too much attention anymore. But as I got older I liked to watch the movie all the way through. I know even now I'll still enjoy this movie so I'm not expecting my opinions to change about this movie

How much of this movie have I forgotten:

Since I watched this movie recently compared to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Sleeping Beauty there isn't much I have forgotten about this movie. I would have to say one thing I forgot about was the uhuishaji for the people. I used to think Pocahontas' appearance was bland compared to the other princesses, I still think her face is a little bland I still upendo the realistic expressions on her face.

The characters I like au dislike is about the same; I still upendo Meeko while Flit annoys me a little, and Wiggins is still my inayopendelewa character in the whole movie. Ratcliffe is definitely a forgettable villain, while he does try to start a war between the Native Americans and the settlers, he doesn't really do anything except shoot John at the end and shoot Namontak earlier in the movie. He doesn't leave as much of an impact as Ursula au Jafar.

When I was a kid since I wasn't that invested in this movie there were some things I never really understood like the "strange clouds", why the settlers were digging (yes, even after hearing a song about why they were digging), why Pocahontas was sneaking around following John instead of just going up to him to introduce herself, the fact that she randomly spoke English, au Pocahontas's epiphany about the spinning arrow in the climax. I also never knew about racism at the time so I never got why the Native Americans were referred to as savages au why they hated each other.

The Meeko vs Percy scenes are still as funny as I remember, I always preferred their fights scenes over the mice vs Lucifer scenes in Cinderella.

I'm still not a big shabiki of John Smith and Pocahontas. I try to give this couple a chance but then I remember that if it weren't for the fact that she was a beautiful woman he would have shot her and then there's the fact he insulted her people, her intelligence, and her culture and never even apologized. I can let that sekunde reason go because he defended her people and even saved her father from getting shot but the "almost shooting Pocahontas" thing is definitely a big reason why I don't like them as a couple. John and Pocahontas just feels like a bland couple too, I still don't feel anything real between them like the other Disney Princess couples. That didn't stop me from being super annoyed about Pocahontas leaving John Smith for John Rolfe in the sequel though (I'll talk zaidi about that in the makala for Pocahontas II)

I still have the same opinions for the soundtrack, Virginia Company and Steady as a Beating Drum are good intro songs but they're not memorable to me, Mine, Mine, Mine, is a fun song but doesn't keep my interest, but Just Around the Riverbend, Listen to Your Heart, Colors of the Wind, and Savages are, in my opinion, the best songs in the soundtrack. If I Never Knew wewe is another good song but I didn't grow up with that song like I did the others and while it is a good songs, I don't like it as much as A Whole New World au I See the Light. Colors of the Wind is my inayopendelewa song in the movie because I remember when I was little I watched the trailer for this movie and it was just that song, nothing else. Even though I didn't like this movie too much as a kid I still watched this movie because of Colors of the Wind.

Princess:

I still think Pocahontas is a little bland, both appearance-wise and her speaking voice, but I upendo how wise she is and how much she cares for her people and she is so underrated. Pocahontas was 13 on my inayopendelewa princess orodha (after Aurora bumped her down last week) but now she's up at 8

Movie:

While I like this movie zaidi now compared to when I was younger, it still didn't hold my interest as much as the other Disney movies. The characters and some of the songs of this movie are the only things I really like about this movie. Pocahontas the movie was 12 on my inayopendelewa princess movie orodha but now it's bumped up to 11 (sorry, Sleeping Beauty).

Rating: 7/10

How much has my opinion changed?

Not much. I still like this movie but as I've alisema zaidi than once, it still doesn't have my attention the whole time unless parts I upendo come up.

Would I watch it again?

Yes

inayofuata week I'll be doing Princess and the Frog!

Moana's orodha is another interesting one because unlike Anna and Snow White I really don't think Moana would care much for the Disney Princesses save for her favorites. Tiana, Jasmine, and Ariel were particularly tough to place and if wewe have suggestions on how Moana would feel about them, please feel free to share.

11. Aurora

I actually originally was going to group all the classic princesses together in one picture because frankly I don't think Moana would give them the time of day. Aurora and Moana have nothing in common and wouldn't even be remotely interested in each other.

10. Cinderella...

Hi guys! Very much inspired kwa deedragongirl’s post, I decided to write this makala coz krisimasi is fast approaching. I am so thankful to deedragongirl for letting me use the idea, this is an excellent concept! Now let’s start this makala right away

Cooking – Snow White, Tiana and Rapunzel
Snow white can whip up a pie and make some supu in no time at all! She is an excellent cook! We can leave the krisimasi pie to Tiana, although we would enjoy her beignets and delicious gumbo! And Rapunzel can cook well, she’ll prepare tasty apple pie and some chokoleti chip cookies! Yum!

Go ahead and get the soundtrack!
Go ahead and get the soundtrack!
Hi guys, since I had done a kura ya maoni earlier, now it's my turn to write down 3 motivational songs and the reasons why.

1) Let It Go (Frozen)

Since this song has been overplayed, I'm very glad that Disney release an international version and it became an international anthem! It teaches me to let all of my anxieties go, and this is why I always listen in the car while driving sometimes.

2) Strong (Cinderella)

The other song that I love, it motivates me to write down the singers who sang Let It Go and onyesha it to them on their Facebook. I was very happy that some of them thanked me for it!

3) How Far I'll Go (Moana)

As Belle says, I want adventure in the great wide somewhere, so this is how the song inspires me to travel around the world on my own!

Get Inspired!

So here are my reasons on why these 3 songs are motivational, do wewe agree?

 Princess for Spain?
Princess for Spain?
Okay, my Korean Princess Appearance made it to the front page. Now, many of wewe are dying to see a Hispanic princess in the line-up. So, here are my personal choices on how she looks like!

1) Ly Jonaitis (Venezuela, 2nd runner-up in Miss Universe 2007)

When I first saw her in 2007, I thought that she looks pretty idealistic for a princess. Especially her appearance, unfortunately my opinion changes because she looks a bit old. Unless if Disney have 2 Hispanic princess and Ly will play the elderly sister.

2) Amelia Vega (Dominican Republic, Miss Universe 2003 winner)

She is actually my number...

 1. Coronation dress
1. Coronation dress
We won't let it go that's for certain. My final Disney princess is Queen Elsa from Frozen. She may only have two outfit's in the film, but I will discuss each in detail.

1. Coronation Dress
Her dress is teal with flowers on the bottom and the bodice, a black long sleeved blouse, a long purple cape, blue gloves and a golden tiara. I feel that Anna's dress is better as it's zaidi fun and prettier it's zaidi colourful. However Elsa's dress reflects well on she is as a person so I do like it, but not as much as Anna's. 7/10

2. Snow Queen Dress
It's a simple dress, a long crystallised blue dress made...

 Hello Merida.
Hello Merida.
Since I had watched both movies, here are my thoughts on both sinema since they're both Celtic and centres around motherly love.

Quest for Camelot

I started watching this film back in 2007, and I was quite amazed that the song 'The Prayer' because I did not know that this song was originally from this movie! The story-line was just like our typical Disney Princess movie but overall, I feel bad for Garrett and I'm glad that the movie shows zaidi sympathy for him.
The songs reminded of the Lion King where we have an antagonist having their own theme song and a song for the main character as sung...
