Well, what can I say. I'm bored at work, and thought about uandishi a little bit about my inayopendelewa princesses, so here they are...

9. Mulan
I don’t hate Mulan; I just like the others better. I admire her for her bravery and strength. She sacrificed herself to save her Father; that’s upendo people. My inayopendelewa line from her movie is “The greatest gift and honor... is having wewe for a daughter”. It is such a loving and powerful line.
Who is that girl I see?
Who is that girl I see?

8. Snow White
Snow White is so innocent and sweet, how can wewe not adore her? I upendo her sweet spirit and the fact that she keeps on staying positive, even though her Stepmother wants her dead. She has such a cheery disposition. My inayopendelewa line from her movie, is “Why Grumpy…you do care”.
 Fairest of all
Fairest of all

7. Aurora
With the dhahabu of sunshine in her hair and lips that shame the red rose, Aurora is the most beautiful Princess in my opinion. I upendo her, and she would probably be much higher on my orodha if she had zaidi screen time in her movie. pink is my inayopendelewa color, but I prefer her in the blue gown. I just upendo the scene of her and Phillip dancing around the forest; it is so romantic. I don’t have a inayopendelewa line…but I upendo it when she sings “I Wonder”.
 I know you...
I know you...

6. Tiana
The spunky hardworking Princess is one of my favorites. At first I didn’t think I would like her au her movie. But I have to admit that I was very impressed. I upendo that she has goals and is doing everything in her power to achieve them. My inayopendelewa line is “She is my Evangeline”.
 Almost there...
Almost there...

5. Jasmine
I really like Princess Jasmine. She is beautifully drawn. I upendo her look; her hair, her curves, her outfits…I like that she is stubborn sometimes; it makes her realistic. I always wanted a bedroom like hers when I was little! My inayopendelewa line is “At least some good will come of my being forced to marry. When I am Queen, I will have the power to get rid of *you*.” She is pure sass!
 Arabian beauty.
Arabian beauty.

4. Pocahontas
She is considered “plain” compared to the other glamorous Princesses, but I like that about her. She is natural. I upendo her long hair and how it is always blowing graciously around her. The romance between her and John Smith is one of my favorites. I don’t really have a inayopendelewa line, but my inayopendelewa part of the movie is when they first meet. It is so dramatic and epic.
 If I never knew you...
If I never knew you...

3. Ariel
The fun loving, adventurous redhead has made her way back into my heart. She was lower on my list, b/c I remember her being childish…but I recently watched her movie, and I had a change of heart! I upendo her ambitious, determined spirit. My inayopendelewa scene is when she first “officially” meets Prince Eric.
 Watch and you'll see...
Watch and you'll see...

2. Belle
I have always loved Belle. Her movie came out when I was about 5 au 6. I felt connected to her, b/c we had the same color hair and eyes. I have always loved her. Even her looks change throughout the movie (due to the animators), I still find her to be extremely lovely! My inayopendelewa line is when the Beast is dying and she whispers “I upendo you” with a tear rolling down her rosy cheek. It gives me the chills EVERYTIME.
 Ever a surprise.
Ever a surprise.

1. Cinderella
cinderella was the first movie ever purchased for me. I was 3 years old. I quickly became obsessed with her. I had every line memorized! I would watch it, and wait very impatiently as it was rewinding (this was waaaaay before DVD’s to all wewe youngin’s out there!). I’m surprised the tape lasted. My parents took me to Disney World when I turned 5. I was so upset that I didn’t get to meet Cinderella. Back then in the late 80’s they didn’t have meet and greets with the Princesses, just Mickey. Minnie and that crew. BUT I got to see her castle. WOW. I upendo cinderella because even though life dealt her a hard hand, she keeps on trucking along and believing in her dreams and that they will one siku come true. She never gave up hope, and she eventually got her “happily ever after”, which is what we all want, right?

15. Poor Kida. Her film was considered second-rate Disney kwa most and her looks don't get much appreciation either. To her credit, Kida is one of the most unique princesses in appearance and personality....

Early concept art of Belle and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast; often considered the magnum opus of the Walt Disney company was released on November 13, 1991. As most people know, it is the only traditionally animated film to tarehe to have garnered an Oscar nomination for Best Picture. This may have been due to the approach to this film. It was so unusual for an animated film; having a screen writer, uigizaji director, flawless score, elements that were typically reserved for high-budget live-action films. So much care and detail was put into this film that entire vitabu could be written about...
