A/N#1: So here's Chapter 5, I really don't know where this chapter will
go, I'm just gonna write it and see what comes from it.

Chapter 5:

I could tell my legs were bleeding, they had been dragging me for
atleast 15 dakika and the rocks and twigs had somehow found
their way into my boots scratching against the side and cutting the
skin.
I stopped trying to escape awhile ago, after they had released my feet
I tried to kick and scream for help but it didn't exactly work.
Adam never tried to escape he let them drag him through the forest
without a word. He was being so calm about this that I couldn't understand
why he was not also trying to free himself.
Smelling the odor of camp moto I realized that we were close to the
tribe now.
Finally we were taken through a break in the woods and were greeted
kwa an actually fairly large camp ground. Their houses were made of
wood and looked fairly sturdy. Kids ran around the campfire their black
hair swishing as they giggled and played games. The adults simply
sat around and chatted, that it until they saw the men with us.
The silence was eerie, the only sound that could be heard was the
quiet footfalls and sound of feet being dragged.
Faces looked disgraced and looked on us with disgust, especially when
they saw the sword the man who was holding one of my wrist held in
his hands.
The men didn't even waste time they dragged us over to a hut with
a hole in the juu of it, made from mud, wood, and dried grass. In the
middle of the hut stood a pole with a rope wrapped around it.
Five dakika later we were tied up back to back on the pole sitting
on the cold dirt ground. My legs were smeared with dried blood and
my face probably looked worse from when I was wacked kwa the branch
of a bush.
"The chief will be here in a few minutes..." They told us as they turned
their backs and left without another word.
Sighing I felt the tears well up in my eyes, even though I'm not a crier
I was the one who got Adam and I into this mess, I felt terrible about it.
"This is all my fault" My whisper was quiet and low enough so that the guards
on the outside couldnt hear. I hung my head in shame not even expecting
Adam to answer back, he was probably angry.
"This isn't anyones fault and if it's someones...its both of ours" He replied
softly as the wind.
"No if I hadn't gone where I wasn't suppose to, it wouldn't be like this" Was all I
could say before I felt the warm liquid slide down my face and a small sniffle
came out of my mouth as I began to quiver. I didn't like to look so
vulnerble, but anyone in my position would feel this way.
"Beth...no it's not, please don't cry" His reply was simple yet filled with
a gentleness that touched my heart. I could hear the pleading in his voice and
knew his big brown eyes probably held tears in them right now." We are going
to get out of this, I promise please just dont think about it. Think about
something else, like your family, au some memories that wewe want to relive, just
dont think about whats going on here and now, just relax.
Still crying I nodded my head and leaned back against the wooden pole
looking up at the now pink sky, it was sunrise. The beauty captivated me and
as if on cue the wind whistled through the hut humming a lovely melody.
A song came to mind from when I was younger.

[Flashback]

"Daddy look at me!" I exclaimed climbing up a mti at a record speed my
hands never missing a branch. At 5 years old I was daring and adventurous, my
black hair in two braided pictails and clad in a cream colored dress.
"Darling please be careful" He warned me while climbing up the branches his blue
eyes never leaving me making sure that I didnt fall. His blonde hair tousled
in the wind and he wore his blue suit that he always wore when taking me out
to the woods.
I rolled my eyes and continued until I came to the perfect opening for
the perfect view.
From the branch I gazed out onto the harbor where ships were lined
up, my father was a captain but I hadn't riden on one of the boats yet.
"Their beautiful aren't they?" I jumped a bit then relaxed when my father wrapped
his arm around me pulling me to his side as we gazed at the ships at rest.
"Yes, they are" I replied sighing a bit wishing that I wasn't so little
and that I could actually go on a trip.
I don't know how long we sat there but my Father started to hum a
tune and get a dreamlike smile on his face.
"Daddy...what are wewe humming?" I asked him curiously, he stopped and gave me
a smile.
"Just an old song that we sang on our way to the new world" His blue
eyes were far away searching through memories as the sunset.
"Can I hear it?" I asked innocently smiling up at him.

[End Flashback]

"In sixteen hundred seven
We sail the open sea
For glory, God, and gold
And the Virginia Company"

I hummed out those lyrics from the song smiling that I remembered it.
Everytime we would go for walks, we would break out and sing that song
running through the woods and climbing up trees.
"What are wewe humming?" Adam asked me quietly from the other side of the pole, I
was going to answer but was interupted kwa someone entering the
hut.
He was a tall man, tan with a grey braid going down his back and wrinkles
shadowing his face. Dark brown eyes that looked like they at once
could have been gentle but had been turned cold, he wore a traditional headress
and a traditional style outfit.
"I'm Chief Powhaten, what is your reason for disrupting the peace?" His
voice was colder then I expected and his footfalls came closer and closer.
I kept my head down, I was not disrupting any kind of peace. I was not going
to answer his question.
"We wern't disrupting the peace, we were merely exploring" Adam tried
to explain but I could tell the chief didn't believe it, even though it was the
truth.
"Why were wewe carrying a sword?" He asked Adam again figuring the
man would be carrying one.
"In case we ran into an animal" Adam lied about that one, he's a terrible
liar and I had to role my eyes.
"Your lies do not fool me" The chief told Adam firmly and even if I
couldn't see his face I knew that he was scowling.
"What's your name?" Powhaten asked Adam who I could tell was getting very nervous
about this whole situation...he had finally broke I guess.
"Adam Gerald, sir" He answered quietly sounding defeated, I guess
he had already aliyopewa up all his hope of escaping. Him sounding so
broken was heartwrenching.
"And you?" The chief asked coming over to my side of the pole.
I turned my face up towards him and was nearly shocked. In the better
lighting as he stood in front of me with the first glitters of the sun
shining through, his eyes were familiar, colder then where I had known them
from but none the less familiar.
"Elizabeth Smith" I answered quietly waiting for what he was going to say next,
except he didn't say anything. Actually, he looked at me shocked, then
squinted his eyes, then to where I couldn't tell what he was thinking.
"Smith? Who are your parents?!" He all but demanded shocking me and making
my back bump against the wood. Adams hand patted mine still tied in ropes and
I calmed enough to answer.
"John and Pocahontas Smith" I answered loud and clear surprising myself
with the confidence that was now radiating within me. I just had a feeling
this was going to be my ticket out.
His face softened suddenly and he bent down in front of me looking me straight
in the eyes, then pulling out a stone knife.
I braced myself for him to stab zaidi au something, closing my eyes
but all I felt were my hands being freed and Adam gasping in surprise behind
me.
"Hurry and get away from here before the rest of the tribe get back from
the river, take the northern route to Jamestown" The chief told us hurriedly his back
already turned as Adam and I looked at eachother shocked.
"Hurry!" Powhaten nearly shouted causing us to run past him and in the
direction towards the wood.
While I was running I couldn't help but look back, and I could have sworn
the chief had a small smile on his face.
Adam and I didnt say anything we just kept running ready to be nyumbani so that
we could forget all that had just taken place.
The wind whistled through my hair as I dodged the trees and the
various roots, as the humming filled my ears I hummed out the last
verse to the song that I used to sing when Father and I ran through
the woods together.

"For glory, God, and gold
And the Virginia Company"

A/N#2: Sorry it turned out so long...I surprisingly though upendo that song
from the movie...it gets stuck in my head for some reason!
The Little Mermaid is a 2023 live-action film that's a remake of 1989's Little Mermaid animated film. Live-action Disney remakes have gotten a lot of mixed reception. They tend to make lots of money, but they also tend to get mixed reviews. When it comes to the remakes, I've enjoyed a fair number of them. I didn't care for some of them, such as Aladdin, Lady and The Tramp and Mulan. However, there have been some remakes that I enjoyed, such as Cinderella, Dumbo and both Maleficent films. Also, the live-action Disney Alice in Wonderland films are two of my inayopendelewa films.

Mermaids are something...

The first Frozen film made such a big impact on me that I became very excited for a sequel. The sequel ended up coming out about six years after the first film. This was because the makers of Frozen planned on Frozen being a standalone story. However, after coming up with an idea that they thought was good enough, they decided to make a sekunde film. I'm so glad that they made the decision to do that.

In the sekunde film, Elsa has started hearing a mysterious voice. She attempts to find out where the voice is coming from. In the process of doing so, she gets into contact with the spirits of the...

Frozen is a Disney animated film that I kind of like. When I say kind of, what I actually mean is that I upendo it! It's a film that I've seen zaidi times than anybody probably should. I used to watch this film zaidi than once a week. It's a film that quickly grew quite the fanbase. I was certainly one of those mashabiki that quickly got attached to the film.

Frozen centers around the bond between two princess sisters, who are named Anna and Elsa, that go on quite a unique adventure. Elsa was born with ice powers, but she's been ordered to keep that a secret. However, when Anna attempts to marry a prince...

Mulan is considered a Disney princess and I find that ridiculous because if Mulan is a Disney princess why not Elsa and Anna? Mulan has the characteristics of a hero and a princess, but there is a reason that prevents her from being a princess.
Although she is Marafiki with an emperor, that does not make her a princess. Either she would be a royal kwa birth, au she would marry a prince and earn the title of princess. Being a hero doesn't make a princess, does it? This is really silly. There are a lot of other female characters at Disney who do great heroics, but they're not even one step closer to being princesses. What a great injustice. What a pity. While I upendo Mulan, Mulan is overrated.
So...I begin this kwa saying that I am an adult shabiki of Ariel. Impacted kwa The Little Mermaid from the age of 9, I am an adult collector, and I currently have Ariel ALL OVER my adult bedroom.

I commend mwandishi Liz Braswell on her "nods" to the elements found in the original 1989 film that is known world over. Some passages of the book she has written made sense to me, while other parts did not. *Eric getting a tattoo was not one of my stand-out inayopendelewa moments, and it jarred with all of the proceeding characterization aliyopewa to him kwa the author*

I suppose, for those who didn't upendo Ariel's original...

I haven't written an makala for two days, let's say I couldn't finish it. Actually, I had an makala for wewe that ranked princess hair from worst to best, but I thought wewe might not like it. So I have a better idea. This makala is about changing the colors of Rapunzel and Ariel. Their hair, lips and eyes.

I actually upendo their color palettes/some of my inayopendelewa princesses/, and I'm uandishi this makala just for fun. Let's start with Rapunzel.

Naturally, Rapunzel has golden hair and green eyes. But now let's try Ariel's color palette. Let Rapunzel have red lipstick, red hair, and blue eyes....

I LITTERALLY just got done watching the movie, and I must say-I was pleasantly surprised. Disney really got creative with this one. I see it winning some Academy Awards inayofuata year. That was just a bit of what I thought all together. Now, let's get to the real deal.

The animation:

I like how they used what looked like some 2D uhuishaji in the beginning and during some parts of the movie. It gives, not only me, but I'm sure a bunch of you, hope that 2D uhuishaji isn't dead. I also liked how they all these upinde wa mvua like colors when the dragoni get resurrected. (Am I the only one who was obsessed with...

Here is an makala I wrote expressing my opinions on the 3D animated Disney Princesses and how they are in their featured films of Tangled, Brave, Frozen, and Moana. Since Raya and the Last Dragon is coming out on Saturday, I'll try to do an makala on her too to see if she's another one of our inayopendelewa badass heroines? au just a damsel in distress waiting to be saved. But anyway, let's get down to brass tacks, shall we?

5. Rapunzel

When I was little and the first trailer for Tangled was advertising inaonyesha another badass heroine who can fight and somewhat heal people's wounds and injuries with...

Her curiousity. -Swanpride

She is independent, brave, curious and fun. She is such a strong person but wewe can still feel that her personality is changing during the movie. She was pretty playeful, free and daring at the begining and she really matured and became zaidi wise and calm at the end. And I really appreciate her gorgeous looks, upendo her unique yet beautiful design, also her imba voice is my inayopendelewa DP imba voice :) -tiffany88
