She worked so hard for what she got. She would be so happy that all the hard work finally paid off

For a lot of these I think they'd be so surprised, the real happiness would come later.

Definitely Ariel, Rapunzel and Cinderella. Rapunzel has been reliving and enduring manipulation and verbal pressure for 18 years which constantly prevented her from living her life and rightfully fighting for her freedom that she was entitled to since birth and those lanterns represented everything she longed for, the freedom that she desired to gain, the life that she never had. It was the only thing she held on to and finally, after going on a journey and finding out that so many things about the world that her mother kept telling her for years were misguided and misleading, she got to meet her dream face to face, possessing the newfound knowledge and wisdom and having gained an overwhelming experience.

Cinderella has been abused and mistreated for her entire life, not having to experience the slightest of tolerance nor being treated with even the most basic human decency. And finally she got the key to a new life, to freedom from the unhealthy environment and negativity she was surrounded by for years. Those moments represented and symbolized freedom for either Rapunzel and Cinderella, new beginnings and hope.

But for Ariel that moment was not just about freedom and newly gained independence, it was about finally facing and embracing the perspective of living a life exactly the way she wanted to live it contrary to all those years when she had been systematically told that she should wish and go for anything other than what she aspired to do and to be. Not only that, but it was her father, the one who tried to shame and condone her curiousity and passion for the large periode of time, finally coming to understand and accept her wishes and goals. And the shuttered hope of being with the man she loved was restored again just as her relationship with her father. This moment represented the new start - for everything: for Ariel/Triton, for Ariel/Eric and for Ariel the person, heading towards her new life and finally achieving what she had been dreaming of and what she deserved.
