But she won't discover that it's him 'til chapter three!
Only Phillip was not discovered to be the prince at first..
I mean neither Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella has no swordfights!?
Cinderella dances with the prince but doesn't REALIZE it's the prince, remember? She thinks it's some total random dude. THEN she finds out it's the prince after the ball, when the message is getting sent around.
The reason I DON'T think it's Sleeping Beauty is because it says "but she won't discover that it's him til chapter three!"
In Sleeping Beauty, the HE discovers the SHE, not the other way around. Phillip discovers that Aurora is the peasent girl. Aurora never discovers Phillip is the peasent boy til the very end. And my impression is, from the part of the book she's in, that Belle is only at the MIDDLE of the book, and not the end, judging by the number of pages she has left.
Therefore, I think she's actually reading Cinderella.
*edit*
What PPV says has me thrown. If that's what she's reading, it obviously isn't Cinderella. Except the prince is never in disguise in Sleeping Beauty. Therefore, it makes me think that it's her OWN story she's reading, because the beast is in disguise. There are magic spells too. However, there's no swordfights. Swordfights indicates more than one sword sparring against each other, which we don't have in ANY of the books.
It's actually making me think it's a totally random fairytale just combining all the usual elements of fairy tales.
It could be a TOTALLY random story, actually, combined as one.
Maybe it could be Rapunzel? That has all the elements PPV listed, as I recall, although I don't know if the prince is ever in disguise...
Or maybe it's Aladdin....that would actually fit the bill...
She meets him but only in the 3rd chapter she realized that he's the prince. Or am I wrong??
I guess sleeping beauty could be it, but something about how she describes the GIRL discovering the BOY in chapter three has me thrown, because it's phillip who discovers aurora, and it seems to me chapter three is only the middle of the book.
I'm still sticking with Sleeping Beauty, but now I have been swayed by your comments to the contrary.
Maybe, it's just a fairytale that hasn't been Disney-ized yet?
I went back to look, since at one point we see an image inside the book (when she sings 'here's where she meets prince charming') I don't think it's cinderella, the image shows the girl and prince outdoors, not too close to the palace, neither lookng fancy, and that's not how Cinderella meets her prince (she also seems to be hiding/shying away from him, and he's having to creep up to her which doesn't fit cinderella, but could be sleeping beauty or Beauty and the beast), if it's not just a random fairy tale then out of these I think it's most likely to be Sleeping Beauty. If it's anything specific, I was assuming it was a random fairy tale. The prince in the pic doesn't look like a beast, but he's kind of small and not too clear, so I could be wrong.

Chaque heure me renouvelle, me grandit et m'épanouit.
