I think as long as the spot is for a movie, be it real-life movies or animation or tv-series, there should be a screencapture section like in the olden days of Fanpop. I don't think spots like Cars or Cats should have that... Maybe Music as there could be screencaptures from Music Videos, I don't know...

I don't know, considering they don't have a feature to submit screencaps anymore I'm not sure how it would work, tbh.

I used to, but then I actually asked the admin and found out why they are no longer a thing. Apparently it has to do with two things; space and copyright. Apparently screencaps used a lot of bandwidth that they wanted to use elsewhere or something like that. But more than that, they were told that they could get in trouble for copyright and such.

^Maybe the copyright law was updated and the previously added images were protected because the law didn't apply to them when they were added? Just a guess.

I don't think screencaps necessarily require their own section. They can still be added as photos, and if people keyword them as screencaps that can be used to search. Plus having a separate section would encourage more addition of screencaps, which leads to the space issue.

^Makes sense. And technically screencaps are photos so I guess it doesn't really matter if they go into photos, anyway.

As long as, you don't repost screencaps from other websites unless you captured them by yourself like example in video games gameplay where you can share your own screencaps to anyone.
