(Sorry I took so long with this, I was so busy at school and I had 5 pieces of homework on Friday. >.<)
Ashley ran through the forest and abruptly stopped, nearly making the others run into him.
"This must be it." He whispered, pointing to a large, grey structure, about 20 meters in front of them.
"It sure is." A familiar voice from the bushes agreed. Ashley screeched in surprise and nearly fell over as Skipper walked out of the bush.
"S- sir, what are wewe doing here?" Ashley asked nervously, remembering his orders to stay at the HQ.
"Well, I realised that wewe stowed away with the others, so I came to fetch you." The leader replied sternly. Ashley gulped and stared at the floor.
"Sorry sir." He mumbled.
"Keep your apology kiddo, I know wewe only wanted to help, and you've done a good job." Skipper told him.
"Urm, do wewe what's happened over the past few days?" Kait asked curiously.
"I know that those monsters in that base took my little sister and nearly killed her." Skipper replied, clenching his flippers. "I've been thinking of how to get in, but I realised that my options guy was with wewe lot." He explained. "Kowalski options!" He alisema suddenly, turning to the tall penguin.
"Well, I can't see many entrances from this side." Kowalski admitted. They moved around towards the left side and Ashley pointed out an entrance with two guards outside. "So, what's the plan?" Kowalski asked.
"We gotta decide who's going for the guards.. but I've gotta bad feeling about this..." Kait replied, looking slightly worried.
"I wanna go, they've gotta pay for what they did." Ashley said, looking at the tall guards angrily.
Meanwhile...
In the little clearing, Dylan was gently cleaning the rest of Emma's cuts and Kiva was helping. Emma winced a few times, but her head was in the clouds. She wanted to help her Marafiki so badly, but knew that Kiva and Dylan wouldn't let her. She sighed and stared into the sky.
I gotta go and help them, I'm the only one who knows where the substance is. She thought, trying to stand up, only to be stopped kwa her friends.
"Emma you're staying here, let the others deal with those land leopard muhuri things." Kiva told her sternly, sitting her back down.
"But I want to help, I'll be fine." Emma protested.
"Emma, you're not fine, wewe need to rest, and I don't want wewe getting hurt." Dylan told her, hugging her tightly. Emma sighed in defeat and hugged back.
"But I don't want them to get hurt." She said, as Dylan hugged her tighter.
"They'll be fine." Dylan reassured her. "They have the element of surprise, and they're all pretty tough."
"Including Ash?" Emma alisema doubtfully.
"Well maybe not Ash, but he seemed pretty angry when they were running to the base." He pointed out, letting her go.
"Still, I know all of the rooms, I could onyesha them where to-" Emma began.
"Emma, just stay here, wewe need to recover." Kiva told her.
"Fine." Emma murmured, looking annoyed.
Meanwhile, the others were scanning around the base, looking for another entrance, without any guards.
"There's one." Ashley said, pointing towards a small door, it's colour blending in with the wall, so it was barely noticeable.
"Okay guys, go. I'll watch your backs." Kait told them, her eyes on the guards.
"Me too." Ashley said, moving inayofuata to Kait and peeping out of the bushes. The group didn't notice a girl watching them from a tree.
"What do we have here?" The girl whispered, watching them as Blake, Sylvia and Kowalski went towards the secret door.
"Madi, don't think about it." Her friend Cam told her sternly.
"They need reinforcement." Madi argued.
"You're not reinforcement, you're a disastrous distraction." Cam replied.
"Harsh much Cam?" Madi said, smirking and jumping from the tree. "Hey Skipper." She called out. "Guess who?" She said, waving.
"What the deuce?!" Skipper yelped in surprise. "Madi, quieten down, do wewe want to give our whole game away?" He hissed.
"What are wewe two doing here?" Ashley asked. Just as they were about to reply, Kait ran towards one of the guards, turning into a mbwa mwitu as she did.
"Kait stop!" Kowalski yelled. Kait ignored him and jumped on the guards face. Ashley sighed and put a flipper to his forehead.
"The rest of wewe get inside, and try not to be noticed, me and Kait will be the distraction." He told them, running over to Kait and the guard. Skipper didn't seem pleased to be taking orders from the younger penguin, but he followed the others inside stealthily. The sekunde guard at the door grabbed a branched and swung it wildly at Kait's head. Kait jumped and the guard hit the other guards head instead, making Ashley giggle.
"HA! wewe missed!" Kait alisema triumphantly. The sekunde guard grabbed her kwa the neck, and Kait struggled. "Hey, put me down!"
"Oh crap." Madi remarked, staring at Kait.
"You should have listened to me." Cam told her sternly.
"Screw listening." Madi replied, taking out a kisu and stabbing the guard with it. The guard shrieked in pain and surprise, releasing it's grip of Kait and falling dead on the floor. Light blue blood oozed out of it's wound and it's glowing yellow eyes stared into nothingness.
"Woah.." Ashley managed, his bright green eyes wide with surprise. He was beginning to think he was the only person in the group that hadn't killed someone before. "So, Madi, do wewe wanna be the distraction with me and Kait?" He asked, running over to the other guard.
"I think you're scaring people Madi." Cam told her.
"So?" Madi asked. Cam sighed and put a flipper to his face. "I don't mind being a distraction." She alisema to Ashley.
"I never thought I'd say this but I'm going with the others." Cam said.
"Oh, is the paranoid boy actually getting over his fears?" Madi remarked smirking.
"Shut up." Cam snapped, following the others. Ashley just watched in confusion and curiosity. He wondered why they hung around a lot, but seemed to hate each other. He just shook his head, jumped onto the other guards back and began attacking him.
Meanwhile, Emma had had enough of just sitting there, helpless. Dylan and Kiva had finished cleaning her cuts and went to find some zaidi water and leaves. Emma looked around quickly, scribbled something on a leaf, then sped off into the forest, towards the base.
